We’re thrilled to announce that Volunteer Registration for DarknessCon 2025 is officially open! 🖤

If you want to be part of the spine-chilling action at this year's ultimate gathering for horror, pop culture, anime, cosplay, and everything dark and mysterious, now’s your chance to get involved! From behind-the-scenes operations to helping our amazing attendees, we’re looking for passionate, dedicated volunteers to make this year’s event even more unforgettable.

It's with heavy heart that we announce another long time friend and pillar of DarknessCon has passed. Ed Roberts, founder of West Coast Haunters (Halloween) Convention and The Nightmare Factory Salem passed away unexpectedly on Saturday February 1st.

He was a inspiration to hundreds of not thousands within the Haunt and ASL communities. He shaped so many lives along the way and always had an ear to listen, a hug to give and a shoulder to cry on.

He will be missed tremendously.

It is with extremely heavy heart I have to post this. Tonight the world will lost one of the most creative people I've ever had the privilege of knowing and working with. Tanglwyst de Holloway (Tonya Adolfson) passed away this evening after an ongoing battle with cancer. She was one of the first people I met in the convention industry and has been family to me for 20+ years. She's one of the founders of the organization that became DarknessCon and put in countless hours of her life to make the event what it is today. It truly will never be the same without her but I'm grateful for every minute I got to spend with her over the years.
