I am so thankful this holiday season, more than most years previously. 🙏🏼
If you didn't know, although I've had Miss Lyss Planning for almost six years, I only went full-time with the business for the last six months.
Prior to that, I was working 80+ hour weeks, commuting 90+ minutes a day, and spent many weekends away from my husband, family, and friends. I've missed out on fun things in life while I balanced my corporate career and followed my passion for serving couples on wedding days.
Within the last six months, I felt like I've finally been able to breathe, appreciate the small things, and enjoy life so much more. It wasn't just the stepping away from the corporate job, it was the freedom in finally chasing and achieving this lifelong dream.
I am thankful for clients who trust us with the biggest of celebrations.
I am thankful for vendors who celebrate, collaborate, and create magic with us.
I am thankful for a team who is right beside me, supporting our clients and kicking butt together.
I am thankful for a patient, supportive, and encouraging husband.
I am thankful for two healthy and happy parents who I get to see more often and who help create exceptional memories for couples as well. I am also thankful for the example of marriage they've set for Matt and myself.
I am thankful for friends who understand why I can't hang out on weekends, and who continue to love and support me.
I am thankful for my Benchmark family who, even though I've stepped away, continue to mentor, connect, and encourage Miss Lyss Planning.
I am thankful for the time to be able to step back and appreciate all of those who have made an impact on my life.
I am thankful. Very, very, very thankful.
And if you've made it this far, know that I am thankful for you.
Much love and Happy Thanksgiving,
Alyssa
