Today Payton and Austin went and visited the elementary students at Liberty School District. The kids talked about life as racecar driver. They talked about racing with Nascar Youth Series. While still keeping the importance of showing up for their education. They talked about how math and science are used in their everyday life as a racer. Mostly that dad uses it to set up their cars and things the kids and Mom did not understand. They even talked about our sponsors and how they help us on our journey. Then to end the day, all the kids made ballon cars to race in the gym.

The skills that these kids have to stand up infront of these kids and answer questions on the fly amazes me. I love their courage and love for this sport.

Here is where we sit going into the mains. Payton led her heat race up to the last 10 laps. Her car got tight but she took 3rd place. That earned her car 2 in the C main. This is huge because there is a G main in Sr. Honda.

Austin is sitting in car 7 in the D main. He is still learning to drive a consistent line and needing to drive smooth. But he did not give up today and that is a win for him!

Overall, it was a good day. Tomorrow we hit the track early. Stay tuned for all the action tomorrow.
