*Invite - weâre holding our first event of the year on Thursday evening at 27th Feb at Alma House.
Itâs a 2 hour intentional series called Nibbling Thoughts - where we think, discuss and nibble over topics that tickle.
With our go-to social groups and the algorithms that be, itâs easy for us to get caught up in an echo chamber. Yet to grow as people and as a society, we need to be more open to other perspectives and practise more nuanced thinking and communicating.
With food as the universal connector, weâve designed Nibbling Thoughts to be a space for fresh perspectives, flavours and connections to be shared and the tickling topic weâve picked to kick things off is âAuthenticity in a Hyper Connected Worldâ
Our guest chef for this edition is Sarah Huang Benjamin, a culinary creative whose cooking is brazenly inauthentic. As a cultural heritage and mental health researcher, she thinks food tells a multitude of stories about us as individuals and the communities we live in. By sharing food content, she hopes to engage and connect people with themselves and with others.
On this evening youâll get to discuss 4 core questions centred around the topic over 4 different snacks, shared in groups of 4 or 6. Youâll get to join more than one group to enable a wider variety of perspectives and connections.
Included in the $55 early bird ticket price ($65 original price) is a Relax Lychee Rose by Curated Culture, crafted to calm the mind and set the stage for authentic connections.
There will be only one session and seats are limited, so get your tickets soon! Tickets are non-refundable but are transferable, get them at the link in bio.
Menu might contain nuts, egg, gluten and shellfish. Vegan and vegetarian options available upon request.
Additional drinks may be purchased directly from Alma House.
