Time for a new Modūl mix? We agree. MM009 comes to us from our good friend, long time homie, and scene veteran Glad It’s Night. Eric is a Jacksonville native and has been in the scene longer than he hasn't. You've no doubt seen Eric behind the decks around Florida and when he got down with us at Modul 005 back in Dec. 2021. Modūl Mix 008 comes to us from none other than the man, Reflections DnB. Mike is no stranger to the scene and really got into the Dnb sound in the early 2000s. He's played multiple Modūl events and you've likely seen him around the circuit wether he's throwing down at Myth, in Gainesville, or other underground parties across the state. As with many of you in Jacksonville and surrounding areas, we are deeply saddened with the closure of Archetype as this has been our home since the beginning. We started our journey with a casual invite to host “An Evening w/ Clyde Avery” and to have friends come in to help showcase sounds we’d been feeling & creating at the time. That quickly became what Connor insisted be deemed ‘Drum & Bass Night' back in late 2020. It wouldn’t have been possible to grow into what Modūl is today without Archetype, the staff’s support, and their willingness to take a chance on a monthly bass event. Lot of amazing memories and epic times were had, and for that we’ll forever be grateful for having had this space to bring a variety of bass music, drum & bass, and dubstep to Jacksonville.

That said, we are regrouping to determine what’s the next move and how we continue to bring shows to the Jacksonville area. We’re exploring options, venues, and possibilities going into 2023. We’re kicking around some amazing ideas and definitely plan to continue our events. There will be some changes to the frequency of our shows, but we feel that will give us more flexibility to bring bigger acts and plan even larger events. We’ll keep you all updated and look forward to what’s next in 2023!

Devastating loss for our scene. Funkbaby was easily one of our favorite selectors to grace our stage, always coming correct no matter the genre she played. We will never forget the big smiles and the HUGE hugs she brought with her. Always radiating love and positivity! ❤️

Our hearts go out to Mike, her family and friends. We love you!

Today, we lost a true shining light in our scene and a longtime friend and performer at our night. Steff Deschamps Funkbaby, thank you for not only playing for us so many times over the years, but for always coming out and supporting and just being such a positive presence at our night every time you came. We love you and will miss your beautiful soul. Our thoughts are with Mike and Funkbaby’s family, friends and fans. This is a huge loss for us all. Rest In Peace jungle sister.

Happy Friday everyone! We have a brand new mix to get through the weekend and the month!

Modūl mix 007 comes to us from the man, the myth, IONZ. He's a fixture of the scene here in Jacksonville, and in the state of Florida to be perfectly honest. He's graced the decks for us back at our first official Modūl event back in August 2021, but we've been getting down to his sets and original productions for a hot minute. We're big fans of Ionz style on the decks and his tempo pushing can seriously get a room or festival moving at any hour. Welcome to the mix Ionz.

We first were introduced to Danky back in 2019 when she took on remix duties for Clyde Avery's first EP release. Her tracks have since been in regular rotation here at the Modūl base camp, and her style spans through halftime dnb, darker rollers, and bass heavy electronic left field. With releases on labels such as Samsara Beats, Free Love Digi, BLDSMX, and Calibrate Records, we're a big fans of her solo and collab work.
