I'm going to do things a little different today in celebration of Shelley Surles birthday! Happy Birthday sweet lady!

A couple weeks ago we had some fun at Tracy Surles Cutting Horses at their pre-show! I was able to snag a few photos while I was there. Follow the link below to view and download! We are only a couple hours from 2025 and I just need to express my thanks to all of the beautiful, incredible, and talented individuals who stepped in front of my lens in the last 365 days.

Many of you know that several years ago I picked up a camera with the sole intent to take reference photos for my artwork... and then fell in love with photography. Since then, I've worked tirelessly to learn and develop what I do in order to give you all that same feeling when you look at your images - LOVE.

I don't think I can articulate the gratitude that I have for those who have stayed loyal and supportive throughout this journey. I see you, know you, and love you... so, THANK YOU!

Thank you to those who bought even a single image at the events that I photographed this year. I'm not a big corporation, it's just me... and I'm just a mom trying to contribute to my family as much as I can. So when I say "every purchase makes a difference", it really does. So, thank you for truly making a difference.

Thank you to my talented peers, who give encouragement, support, and perspective. I've met many over the last 12 months that I will never forget. Even in this competitive field, it takes allies and friends to find success.

2024 has been a year that covered all the bases- all the emotions, both good and bad... but I wouldn't change a single moment of it. Happy New Year everyone! May 2025 bring more smiles to photograph. 😁

Yesterday was and I just have to say, it was so moving and special to see a flood of CRP photos on social media commemorating the day.

Unfortunately, there were also plenty of people sharing screenshots of images that were stolen (with watermark stating "STOLEN IMAGE" across it) shared as well. I've worked exceptionally hard over the last hand full of years to learn this craft. I've invested thousands of dollars in equipment. I've sacrificed time with my family, my mental health, and the opportunity to show my own horses so that I could bring everyone the best product that I could. I've made it clear many times over the years that it's not acceptable or moral to steal images from ANY event photographer and quite frankly, the constant policing is exhausting.

Its for this reason, along with many others, that I have decided to step away from shooting equine events for 2025. Moving into the new year, my photography will be limited to private sessions, farm sessions, prints, and private coverage at equine events.

I LOVE photography and it's been a huge part of my life. I'm so excited to get back to what I love... creating memorable images for the clients that not only enjoy what I produce, but also appreciate the work and love that I put into every image.

Thank you so much to the amazing producers, clients, and fellow equestrians that have supported and continue to support the journey! 🩷
