Draco was my 2 year and 7 month old pup that was extremely loved by everyone around him. He put a smile on everyone’s face who had the pleasure of meeting him and was the happiest pup. On May 31st Draco began vomiting up foam and clear liquid and I rushed him the multiple emergency rooms however everyone was full. The following day I took him to mission animal hospital, that welcomed him with open arms and were so loving to him on his last few days. We took every test, xray, medication, ultrasound, and spoke to every medical professional we could find to find out what was going on with baby dracos. After multiple attempts to figure out what was going on without going to surgery, we had no answering so the answer was surgery. On June 5th we underwent emergency exploratory surgery. They found he had a foreign object in his intestine and unfortunately, his small intestine as well. There was a tear in his small intestine which meant he had to be transported to another hospital, where his survival odds were 50/50 with the surgery that would bring him so much pain, and even more pain if it wasn’t successful. We made the tough decision to put baby draco down this afternoon to end his suffering. Baby Draco was such an amazing dog and he will be deeply missed but forever remembered. We ask you keep us in your thoughts and prayers as he wasn’t just a dog, he was our family. We appreciate any help and spread of the word. Thank you.
