Tips for Booking the Florist of Your Dreams!
🌷Hiring a florist but aren't sure where to start?🌷 Look, I was right there with y'all not too long ago. Planning a wedding is STRESSFUL (especially without a planner 😅) so here's some tips to help you confidently book the florist of your dreams!
1. RESEARCH: (but the fun kind!) Take time + dive into the florist's social media! Check out stories, highlights, reels, videos, scroll their feed. Look for someone who consistently creates work that fits your desired aesthetic. If you know you love what they create, you can trust them to do their thing + amaze you!
2. BUDGET: Have a reasonable one + let your florist know what it is! Look into local averages or check on YouTube if you aren't sure about this! Purchasing high quality flowers that will look gorgeous for your entire day is an investment! Letting your florist know the budget you're working with will allow them to be mindful when planning what varieties of flowers to use in order to give you the most bang for your buck!
3. QUANTITIES: Determine the quantities you will need for things like boutonnieres, corsages, bridesmaid bouquets + centerpieces! If you're unsure, it's better to overestimate + avoid surprise expenses when you finalize things with your florist.
4. INSPO: Send all the inspo photos, but don't get hung up on an exact replica of something online- this is plagiarism + disregards the artistry of the original florist and the one you are hiring. Show us your colors, things you like, explain the vibe you want for the event. Floral design is much more than just tying stems together, we have creative styles we work hard to hone + we work with unique, live product- no two stems are the same and that is what's so special about custom arrangements!
Ultimately, wedding costs can add up. You may have to pick what's most important to you + if flowers aren't it that's totally ok! it's YOUR wedding day + there is no "one size fits all" you need to follow!
