Foraging can definitely be a challenge in Colorado. Here is a bit of lovely lilac I managed to rescue from my parents’ backyard before 4” of hail absolutely destroyed everything in the yard. 😭😭😭

Doing my own wedding flowers was a lot of work, but it meant I got to have my exact vision brought to life.

I was so inspired by this incredible venue, so everything I made was designed to play off of the existing decor.

It’s no secret that the cost of flowers for a wedding can really add up, but there are some really creative tricks that can help cut down on your costs, while still giving you the look you want!

One of my favorite ideas lately is using vines and blossoms in tiny bud vases (these are vintage perfume bottles I found at an antique store) spaced along the table around a larger centerpiece. It turns out looking so light and delicate, providing visual interest on the entire table, but requires SO much less plant material and labor than garland.

A little autumnal cascade 💛🍂💚

I found peppers on stems (and other gems) at the grocery store and had to find a good use for them. The spider mums are a bit funkier than I normally gravitate towards, but I love the overall effect!

I can’t get over all these gorgeous and locally grown blooms 🤍🥺🤍 The Colorado weather sped up the end of the growing season for most folks, but I was fortunate enough to grab these unbelievably beautiful flowers before they’re gone.

All of these flowers are going into arrangements for the on Sunday! Admission is free and there are lots of freebies and giveaways, presented by and some of southern Colorado’s most wonderful and environmentally conscious wedding vendors. See the link in my bio for tickets!

Exciting news!! I’m so thrilled to have been invited to participate in Colorado’s first and only Sustainable Wedding Show on September 13th at the SCP Hotel! This awesome event has been planned and put together by Dream Catcher Weddings , and will feature a ton of local vendors who are committed to working sustainably! I’m so grateful to have connected with like-minded wedding vendors who are finding ways to put together stunning weddings without creating waste.

Admission is free, and there will be tons of free goodies and giveaways! We will be accepting donations to One Tree Planted.

We will also be strictly adhering to all current social distancing and healthy and safety guidelines during the event!

Antique stores are my favorite place to find cool and unique hard goods! When an event needs mismatched or eclectic vases, it’s always my first stop.

The last few weeks have really felt like years. So much of our lives is now uncertain; jobs, activities, school, even just seeing our friends is on hold indefinitely.
