🍕 Pepe in Grani: The Ultimate Pizza Experience in Caiazzo, Italy 🇮🇹

Just had the privilege of experiencing the 5-course pizza tasting menu at the world-renowned Pepe in Grani, and it was nothing short of spectacular! 🙌 Each slice was a masterclass in flavour, craftsmanship, and creativity – the toppings, the crust, the precision… all on another level. 😍

🌊🍕 After an incredible22 year journey with the Navy, I'm now on full-time Ludacrust! 🚀✨

This summer has been nothing short of amazing as we wrapped up our first trading season. With a stellar 5-star food hygiene rating and recently being awarded the "Taste of the West" Gold award - but we’re just getting started! 🏆❤️

It all began with our secret pizza speakeasy, Circle of Crust, onboard HMS Queen Elizabeth . Sneaking ingredients from the galley and turning the hangar’s F35 curing oven into a pizza haven was truly magical. 🔥🍕

Setting that oven to 415 degrees Celsius and baking our pizzas in just 80 seconds created a perfect all-around bake that has only been rivaled by my own hand built oven.

Thank you for your support as we take Ludacrust to new heights! Here’s to more delicious adventures ahead! 🙌🍕💙

🍕 From the Hull of HMS Queen Elizabeth to the Heart of Ludacrust! 🚢👨‍🍳

It all started in the unlikeliest of places – deep in the hull of HMS Queen Elizabeth, where I found an oven meant for curing F35 parts and transformed it into a pizza oven! 🔥 With pizza stones, a few stolen galley ingredients (sorry, chefs!), and a bit of cheek, I ran a secret little speakeasy known as the Circle of Crust 🍕⚓️.

It was here, in the middle of the high seas, that I honed my skills, experimenting, crafting, and perfecting the art of pizza. That passion led me to make the bold decision to step away from a 22-year career in the Royal Navy and follow my love for food, launching Ludacrust*– a new chapter, a new mission! 💪

We're Somerset Boat Centre this evening. There's some pretty punchy flavours going on this evening. We've worked hard on some of these dishes. Spread your wings, live a little, come and sit under the canopy, have a drink, enjoy some pizza.

We've got the most incredible cheese from Somerset for your pizza. It's from one of only 2 producers of proper buffalo mozzarella in the UK and it's right here in out county.

Friday 19th July Globetrotter Pork Company specialising in long and slow roasted pulled pork! Taking influences from around the globe and using locally sourced ingredients, they offer a variety of rolls, wraps and loaded fries, as well as gluten free and a veggie/vegan option.

Saturday 20th July The food shack Peter will be cooking up his gourmet burgers, loaded fries and specials.

Sunday 21st July Country Bumpkins Catering Hearty home produced or locally sourced food by Mollie. Roast dinners wrapped in a yorkie pud, meats vary weekly with vegetarian options, loaded roasties and often a brownie or 2 available.

This weekend, we're bringing some amazing pizza to the Andersea Classic and Vintage Show, near Bridgwater.

We're locally based, we use locally sourced ingredients and we have built our very own pizza oven to prepare the finest artisanal Neapolitan pizzas.

If you're not already attending the show, it's just a fiver to get in - a fair tariff to pay for some Ludacrust. 😊
