Today we're recognizing electrical engineer, Robert Metcalfe. He is known as the co-inventor of Ethernet, founder of 3Com and formulator of Metcalfe's Law. He was also awarded the IEEE Alexander Graham Bell Medal in 1988 and the IEEE Medal of Honor (IEEE Awards) in 1996.

An adjunct professor in the data analytics department at the CUNY School of Professional Studies in New York City has tested machine learning methods for making picks in a U.S. National Football League confidence pool.
