Even though 2020 is two years behind us, we still have struggles and hurtful things that greet us. Today, I was given the gift to bring a smile to such a person with these lovelies that God made.

God reminded me today that I'll miss the beauty all around me if I don't stop and see it, and that beauty goes beyond flowers but is in the people all around me. People are much more precious than the lillies.

Flowers from the garden this morning! The colors are going strong!

We received two good rains this week and the garden has exploded with color! The $8 vase sale is still going on till the end of August.

Side note: a friend needed some Silver Dust last week so i gave her the whole plant...root and all. This morning I discovered a little plant I had planted last year had come back! I was reminded that when you give, sometimes God gives back to you. Love my little garden surprises and the lessons I learn from my garden!

Little tip about zinnias... you can harvest the seeds to plant for next year. They are located at the base of the flower. Just gently pull the petals to find seeds. I've been selecting my favorite blossoms this year in hopes of getting more next year. This is my first time harvesting seeds, so I'm excited to see what I might get next year.
