Had an absolute BALL marrying Chris and Tamara this weekend. 🌊 ☀️ ❤️

They have such a beautiful little family and their gorgeous babes were so adorable being the ones to pronounce them husband and wife and introduce their first kiss - it melted me, they were so proud!

It is extremely special and an incredible privilege being able to be a part of family and friends special days!

P E R S O N A L V O W S

Writing and sharing your own vows is an optional part of your ceremony but it is definitely one of my favourites, it’s so so special!

Prior to your wedding day, I will ask you to send me a copy of your vows (if you’re choosing to include them). I will print them and bring a copy to your ceremony so that it is one less thing you need to remember!

Feel like you want to memorise them and know them off by heart? That’s cool! I’ll keep a paper copy and follow along, just incase nerves creep in and you need a little prompting - I got you!

Here are my top tips for writing your personal vows:

🌟 RELAX - you are writing and reading them to the person you love.

🌟 START EARLY - be organised, don’t leave them until the last minute. Leave yourself time to edit (I can help proof read if needed)

🌟NEED HELP? - research some key phrases to get your juices flowing “when I’m with you…” “when we first met…” “together we will…” “I’m sorry your football team always lose but I promise to support you through it”

🌟 BREAK IT DOWN - start in smaller sections and then piece them together into a nice flow. They don’t have to be a set length, whatever makes you feel calm and comfortable as you deliver them.

🌟 PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE - read them out loud so you can get timing, flow and wording familiarised.

💡 I am a mother of two little babes and have a background in Early Ed, I am more than happy and in fact, encourage and love to help you include your little ones your special day (children, nieces/nephews, siblings, friends children etc - the special little loves of your life).

Tomorrow marks two weeks (already?!) since Sarah and Jarrad said “I do”.

I’ve known Sarah since we were little girls - our mums worked together in the banking world in the small country town of Oberon, so it was so special to be part of Sarah’s big day!

Sarah and Jarrad oozed confidence and calm in their rehearsal on Friday afternoon and that carried through to their beautiful ceremony on Saturday in front of their closest family and friends.

Your wedding ceremony requires two mandatory legal components from both you (the marrying couple) and me (your celebrant), but did you know that using the classic phrase “I do” isn’t one of them? Courtesy of our favourite old rom coms it is a common misconception that these two little words are required to legalise your marriage.
