GradBash’22 is over and it was a huge success. In the coming week or two our small but mighty committee will “debrief” and publish a thank you to all donors who made the event possible. In the meantime - some details and reflections:
The event was held at Craig’s Cruisers - a phenomenal venue!
93 graduates attended (maybe 94 - further analysis pending😂)
26 chaperones volunteered 😀!
50 prizes purchased from or donated by local business - not including 45 gift certificates from local favorite Big Al’s!
Every attendee received a gift card from Meijer!
Food - there was a lot of it!🍕🍝🥗🍦
In February of this year we thought we may need to cancel due to lack of funds and the uncertainty of Covid. Due to the dedicated efforts of Angela Rank Monroe, Jamie Spencer Tabaczka, Lisa Preston Eckhardt, Mary Reid, Mindy Dalke, and others, over $20,000 was raised to ensure the event would occur in a grand fashion!
We so appreciated the bus drivers who stayed up to drive us and Manistee Area Public Schools Nutrition services for providing breakfast grab and go meals for our tired and hungry attendees.
So while more thanks is coming - for now - know GradBash came back stronger than ever after a two year absence because of a great community who cares about providing a safe and memorable graduation night experience. Thank you Manistee! And now we rest!😂 (and we look forward to handing the torch over to the GradBash 23 Committee - contact us anytime!)💙💛💙

Grad Bash is in a few short hours! We will have waivers available after the graduation ceremony - we must have a signed waiver before students board the busses at 9 pm!
If you are 18 you can sign for yourself, otherwise we need a parent or guardian to sign.

Grad Bash is FREE - all food 🌮🍩🍦transportation 🚌to and from the event, and the awesome event🎉🎊🥳 itself is included. Thanks to generous donors and an awesome committee - Grad Bash ‘22 raised over $20,000!!! 💸💵🤑
We have a gift for every single student that signed up (96) plus over 50 prizes you’ll have a chance to win! 🏆
Waivers must be signed to board the bus 👍- we start loading up about 8:45 pm.
Wear comfortable clothes , leave all valuables at home, and be ready to have fun!
Busses return by 8:30 am ish Sunday morning and all prizes must be claimed and collected at that time!

We don’t know about you - but we’re feeling “22!
GradBash22 committee did not SKIP out today - we enjoyed the weather while wrapping up details on the awesome prizes and the overall event - FREE for all MAPS Seniors! 💙💛💙

Make sure waivers are signed and turned in - the busses leave at 9 pm in 9 days! (pick one up at the office or scroll down for the link - or email [email protected] - or have a parent or guardian sign the night of graduation if you’re under 18)

We appreciate all of the generous donors and businesses in Manistee who are making this the best GradBash ever!

The GradBash Committee met last week and decided to break with tradition and tell everyone where we are having GradBash this year:
Someplace Awesome! But seriously - it is. The dedicated parents who have tirelessly done fundraising these past few months (looking at you Angela Rank Monroe, Jamie Spencer Tabaczka, Lisa Preston Eckhardt and Mary Reid and Mindy Dalke who are unable to be tagged and others who have helped) have really outdone themselves and this will be a GradBash like no other!

But we need chaperones to attend a quick meeting this Thursday to prepare them for the event. So, chaperones who already signed up or parents/friends/family 18 or older who can attend this all night event on May 21, please stop by the Armory on Thursday May 5 at 6 pm for a 1/2 hour informational meeting!

Our next meeting is Tuesday, February 15, 6 pm at the Armory.
How can you help? Show up to a meeting, Be in charge of one of the areas (that we can’t talk about publicly so you need to be at a meeting), have a fundraiser, gather cans and drop them off at Muffler Man 9-5 Monday through Friday, ask a rich relative for money, sell a kidney, talk to your senior about what they’d like to do at GradBash, there are so many ways!

Parents/Guardians of MMHS Seniors: 4 parents met tonight to continue planning. We need some input and involvement from parents if we want this event to happen.
If you are able - we could use $$$ too. Our goal is to raise 10k - we have about 40% of that.
We also need to get a head count of how many students are coming so we will send out an email soon through the school that seniors will need to respond to.
Stay tuned for more info regarding our next fundraisers (possible Go Fund Me page and pop can drive) and please share this page. Reach out to us with questions or to volunteer. Our next meeting is February 1 at 6 pm at the Armory.
