A message from our entry:

i have been dancing since i was 5, but i have been at scdc for nearly 7 years now. when i first started i joined with someone who i knew because i didn’t want to start on my own and feel like the odd one out. things were going fine but i never spoke to anyone except my cousin. she then quit and i carried on with the drama class on my own. i was in two minds if to quit or not as i had no confidence in myself and was on my own for a while, and then covid struck.
i had to attend online classes and decided to join my first hip hop class. before i knew it i was invited to be in a team which gave me the opportunity to compete against other dancers around the uk. i was very unsure about this but i joined anyways. my first comp came as quick as anything where i placed 3rd in solo and 1st in duo. i was amazed. this built my confidence up ALOT! having people coming up to me who i’ve never spoke to before saying how well i did boosted it even more.
not long after i lost the biggest part of my life (my nana), i didn’t go to school and dance for months and my confidence got knocked down like a waterfall. i wanted to quit dance and was so scared to go back and do the new classes i never tried before. but my dance teacher, mum, dad, family and friends never gave up on me and helped me to get back into it again. i was even given a gift from the dance principal to say how proud she was of me.
when i went back i had to join the more advanced group due to my age. i was very nervous for this and didn’t really know anyone in that class. as soon as i walked in a group of girls saw me on my own and invited me over to speak to them.
to this day i have been auditioning for a team every year and managed to get in one as well! i am currently in team carisma, pushing to progress. my confidence has grown so much since i have started here and people have made me feel so welcome especially the dance principle/teachers. they have never gave up on me and always pushed me to be the best i can be.
now im looking to progress more by joining new dance classes for my future, so please vote me as your 2025 scholar by liking and sharing, it would be much appreciated. 🖤💚

I sneakily wanted to find out the current going price for hiring a stocked candy cart. I’ve was told £190!! Like seriously!! I’m either undercharging or people are being ripped off!!
