It’s cold out there. Please be kind to opossums. Many of them find a cozy place to combat the cold. So many we see are missing parts of tails, ears, toes, due to previous frost bite and your garage or porch may be the only place they have. They won’t hurt anything, wr promise. Shooing them out may be certain death due to lack of shelter. They are Northern America’s ONLY marsupial. These precious souls eat fleas, ticks and other pests.
Please. This holiday season. Be kind. Be the change you wish to see in the world. 💙🐾🌏💙

When looking for your wedding dress there are important things to remember.

1. Try on one of each style of dress (A-line, mermaid, trumpet, ball gown). So many brides come in wanting 1 style but end up getting completely different.

2. Allow yourself plenty of time to find your dress and get it ordered. Dresses typically take 6-8 months to come in.

3. Consider hidden costs in your dress.
You may find a $800 dress but it might need $400 in alterations. Sometimes it’s better to spend a little more for a dress that doesn’t need as many alterations on it. Especially if you want to keep the integrity of your dress. (Ex. Not adding a corset back to it)

4. Remember it’s YOUR wedding. It’s nice to allow others opinions but this is YOUR dress for YOUR day.

5. Try to have your vision for your wedding in mind when choosing your dress. You might not want a long train for a rustic, outdoor wedding.

6. Check with the bridal store to see if they allow you to stretch out your payments for your dress. Many want it paid in full by 6 months after purchase. Some bridal stores offer discounts if you get the bridal and all the bridesmaids at their store. Make sure to ask.

7. Ask lots of questions at the bridal store. The consultants should be knowledgeable and respectful. No question is too silly.

Lastly. HAVE FUN !! This is one of the most important days of your life. Enjoy the journey.
Laugh with your bridesmaids or mom’s for some of the dresses they pick out for you to try on “for fun”
