How do you really know when you're ready?
Do you think a squirrel ever lies down one night and confidently says, “Yep. I’ve stored enough nuts. Winter is covered!”? Probably not, so how does he know when he’s truly prepared?
This forested route is part of my morning reflection, how I get prepared for the day. While I enjoyed the peaceful chirping of the birds, my mind drifted to the task ahead, helping my client prepare for Offer Day.
And then I was startled by a baby squirrel!
He darted right up to me with an acorn in his mouth, then raced up a tree to stash it before scurrying back down. He glanced at me curiously before sprinting up another tree where he had likely begun. So young, yet so resourceful!
Just like that baby squirrel, we might not always know how to navigate the path or if we’ve gathered enough 'nuts' for the journey ahead. But with someone by your side who’s been there before, the path becomes clearer.
That’s what I’m doing for my client. We’re getting ready for Offer Day, and I’m helping her discern the hazards from the harvest, sorting the valuable 'nuts' from the 'stones' to ensure she’s prepared for success.
That baby squirrel reminded me of how critical preparation is, especially in the early stages of business. It’s not just about putting in the work, but about having the right guidance to gather the best 'nuts' and stash them in the right places.
That’s how you can feel safer and more confident that you’re ready enough when the time comes!
