The gentleman in the picture below is walker who is an English commentator at the Olympics and yes, he described his thoughts about Uganda when chemutai won gold.

It's very clear he has been to Uganda and witnessed its beauty and its friendly people who enjoy the Nile when celebrating according to him. I have no right to argue with him and yes, no lie detected in his statements.

But there is one thing am starting to appreciate about us Ugandans, we are on a good note starting to separate politicians from Uganda as a country. Politicians come and go but Uganda is here to stay and its our motherland. Its the only home we have.

I have been meeting many of you on different pages of late( pages of popular people) and I can feel the positive energy growing. Its a good thing. Previously some people not all would like why are you writing good things about Uganda?

Now, telling the leaders the truth is clearly a sign of patriotism and it must be encouraged but saying bad stuff about Uganda isn't a sign of patriotism at all. I wake up and look at lake Victoria( God given) and I say let me put together an itinerary and sell to tourists just as an example. Anybody can do that.

Ofcourse the country doesn't grow by a few occasions of good mentions, we must be very deliberate in making sure Uganda is positively mentioned on many big forums and this can be daily, weekly, monthly. We all must be chemutais in all our corners , in all our hustles.
