✨Are you thinking of planning on your own without a coordinator? You ABSOLUTELY can but these are the tasks you will have to handle day of.✨

If you don’t hire a wedding coordinator, you (or someone you delegate tasks to) will take on all the day-of responsibilities. Here’s what you’ll need to manage:

Pre-Ceremony
- Vendor Coordination: Ensure vendors (florist, caterer, photographer, etc.) arrive on time and set up correctly.
- Set-Up: Oversee the setup of tables, chairs, décor, signage, and personal touches.
- Guest Assistance: Answer questions, direct guests, and handle any last-minute issues (e.g., parking, seating).
- Timeline Management: Keep everyone on schedule, including hair/makeup, first look, and ceremony start.
- Emergency Kit: Have solutions for common emergencies (stain remover, safety pins, etc.).

Ceremony
- Cueing Participants: Ensure everyone (officiant, bridal party, musicians, etc.) is ready and knows their timing.
- Ceremony Décor: Double-check the ceremony space looks perfect before guests arrive.
- Problem Solving: Address any last-minute hiccups (e.g., late officiant, weather issues/rain plans, tech issues with music, etc.)

Reception
- Timeline Oversight: Ensure events like the grand entrance, first dance, speeches, cake cutting, and send-off happen on time.
- Vendor Communication: Confirm everything runs smoothly (e.g., food served on time, DJ sticks to the playlist).
- Clean-Up Coordination: Ensure items like gifts, personal décor, and rentals are packed up and accounted for.

General Responsibilities
- Point of Contact: Be the go-to person for vendors, guests, and family.
- Troubleshooting: Handle any unexpected issues, such as weather changes, seating confusion, or wardrobe malfunctions.

What a year this has been… without getting too emotional (because let’s be honest, I cry at everything these days).

2024 brought so many blessings my way. My sweet Palmer Kay. They don’t lie when they say it’s a love you’ve never known before. 😭 Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of the vendors and clients that allowed my PK to join in on meetings. I survived year 1 of being a working mom and that is something to be proud of.

Our team designed, planned and put on some AMAZING weddings this year. We crossed multiple dream venues off of our list. Booked some incredible clients. Had a lot of coffee and Red Bull. Prayed. Had some intense victory dances. Laughed and cried. Hugged a million people. Lost my clipboard approximately 70 times a day. Walked MILES.
