ASININE 2024 RECAP 🖤✨

This year we did 17 shows at 7 different venues!

Including debuts at Waterfront Studio, - in our collaboration show with Venus Vinyl hosting Del Paxton!! Last Pub Standing, Blue Moon, Cambridge and The Brickmakers (where we hosted our first ever last minute show with the amazing Burner ⛓️🖤)

We welcomed 57 different acts and 45 were asinine debutants (welcome!!)

We also welcomed Ina Pickle as our first ever drag act and host (at our first circus themed show with the wild Bumble B Boy 🐝)

From hosting screamo legends awakebutstillinbed and yourarmsaremycocoon , to running a metal night with Rozklad, to hosting emo pioneers Slash Fiction and The Yacht Club on their tour, weve had so much fun this year - and we have so much more to come next year too! ✨✨

We also opened a record company and celebrated their first release! 🎧

Thank you to every band we’ve worked with, and special shoutout to Lucas Smith and Dan Dawson for assisting with sound. Big up Robert, Finley, Fritz and Grumple as well. You know who you are ⚡️⚡️

For you guys who’ve been following on Instagram, we’ve now started ASININE RECORDS, the records contingent of Asinine Corp! Don’t worry, we’ll still be putting on loads of shows next year, we’ve just got this going at the same time!

The split record being released digitally on Dec 5th, on the day of the special release gig at Voodoo Daddys Showroom, by the wonderful Pica Pica Promo - featuring Manic Stanley as openers!✨

But that is not all, Asinine Records are pleased to announce our exclusive FIRST EVER RELEASE - a limited run of 35 7” lathe cut vinyls of the split.

Custom made, each record will be unique with stamped lettering on the sleeve and custom, indiviudally numbered moth stamp on the back. See a mock up below of this! Look out for QR codes at the event to scan and follow the Asinine Bandcamp!

Pre orders will be available FRIDAY 6TH - this is the last Bandcamp Friday of the year, so grab em up tomorrow as all funds go to the artists! ❤️

These will be £10 on pre order until the 12th Dec and £12 after (+ P & P)

We're very excited to announce we are not just hosting one, but TWO shows for Sleep Outside's England weekender!

Sleep Outside are a Cardiff based emo trio which leans into alternative pop and math-rock, with 00s vibes – after putting them on in 2022, we couldn't happier to host them again!💥🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Joining Sleep Outside for both dates are Breakfast with Bears, a five piece from London bringing us a combination of math-rock and midwest emo.✨

Joining them on the NORWICH date are fan favourites Read the Room, bringing us their polished and catchy pop punk bangers, and newbies on the scene Lease on Life, with their high energy riffs and blast beats!

We are so excited to announce we have the incredible DH TEMPLE opening our FIRST SHOW OF 2025!💥 This is at Voodoo Daddys Showroom !!! Lets celebrate Independent Venue Week with a bang!

DH Temple is the solo project of used car salesman turned “kind of big deal around here”, Dom Temple. In his own words: “music is a side hustle for my main goal of getting my own reality tv show and eventual talking heads documentary”.

DH Temple will be joining this MEGA LINE UP of the spooky, synth ridden vibes of DSM IV and the indie, catchy goodness of Brighton's Ellis D .💜
