Things are shifting and changing over here and honestly, it’s felt a little scary. 😬

But today has been an opportunity to reflect on the things I’m grateful for and that bring me joy. My family, my friends, this business, and YOU ✨❤️

I was literally sweating from everywhere when I clicked "submit payment". 🥵

It was August of 2019 - And it was now or never. The Etsy course I had been waiting on to open was only open for enrollment for a few days and I had to make a choice.

The thing was - I knew. I knew in my soul that this was the thing that would catapult my success. NOT because I was investing money in my business - the $600 that course cost wasn't what made me successful. It was everything else about that investment - that is, everything no one else could see but me -

It was the desire behind the investment. ✨

It was the bravery to put my heart and soul behind a vision and to put myself out there on the internet. 😅

It was my dedication to work my tail off and put the information in that course to good use. 🏃🏻‍♀️

It was the boldness required to ask questions even though I thought they might sound dumb. 🤓

It was the willingness to JUST fREakINg GO FOR IT. 💥

I didn't just hit "submit payment" on that course and watch sales start pouring in. I studied, took notes, dreamed big dreams and FOUND a way to make them come true.

Things are sure changing around here, and quickly.

It seems like the way I did business the whole last year is out the window as we officially usher in a new way of making all our product.

What is changing: Essentially, I'll be cutting everything in my studio and then sending the pieces away with my makers to craft the banners. I even got to design a “making kit” label for my take home boxes and I’m just 🤩

The reason: as we're losing some employees to the school year, I decided that it was time to take back some of the responsibility with making our products. I'm excited to have such a big hand in the making process again after almost a year of relying on my makers!

The lesson: nothing has to be accomplished in a way "it always has been" or "the way I'm picturing". Everything in business is an experiment. I get just as excited to be creative making products in my business as I do creating systems to support my business.

We bought a new house!

Well, about a month ago we bought a new house, but today was the first time we stopped to snap a photo with it as a family. It’s a pretty special one, that’s for sure! Some facts about this house:

✨This was my grandma and grandpa’s house.

✨Its a place where I spent countless hours when I was growing up.

✨Winnie’s room is the same room my mom grew up in.

✨My childhood home is less than a 10 minute drive down a country road.

✨We’re finally out in the country, and we basically bought it for the sunsets - they’re picture perfect out here!

Moving has been keeping me pretty busy for the last 2-3 months. Not to mention all the renovations 😅. I’m exhausted 😂.

*BUT* we’re all moved in, the renovations will be done in a few weeks, *and* it’s almost summer. I can’t wait to watch Winnie turn 1 and play in this new yard!

So if it’s taken me longer to respond on insta or Etsy lately, you now know why. I’m so excited to get back into the swing of working everyday, but the great thing about my job is I can put my family first when I need to, and lately I’ve needed to.

This week on my close friends list we’re chatting all about how February-now I’ve worked less than 10 hours per week but still had the largest start to a spring my business has ever seen. I've shipped orders late. I have a late order on my dock right now from when I was sick last week. 🙃

I haven't updated my shop announcement in over a year. I think about doing it at least once a week. It's yet to be done. 😅
