Mother’s Day Flower Market! 🌷🌸🌼🌻

In celebration of Mother’s Day we’ve teamed up with our favorite clean beauty store to bring you the most beautiful sustainable bouquets to treat the special women in your life.

🌷Here’s how it works: Order your flowers online from their webshop and pick them up on Saturday May 11th at their shop Leuvensestraat 24 Leuven, between 11 and 17h.

🌷Each bouquet is carefully made with fresh, seasonal, and sustainable flowers. Add any additional beauty & wellness goodies to your order, and we’ll have everything beautifully wrapped and ready for pick up :)

🌷You’re also welcome to swing by on Saturday for a ready-made bouquet and a drink, but it’s best to pre-order to secure yours.

A staple Schik piece 🫶🏻
This is exactly what Studio Schik is all about, colourfull but never tacky, edgy, dynamic, the classics with a twist, all of it!!! The vase is thrifted, the flowers are BE/DE/NL/FR grown and labeled as sustinable, in season. You could have this piece on show in your window, next to the cash register, on a cute magazine table, everything goes. Where would you put it? 💅🏻

Here's a little bunch I made before the overwhelm of it all hit me again 🤠 That is nothing new, and fortunately I'm starting to get the hang of how to deal with it. Last week we had the pleasure to host a bridal workshop, and it made us shift our focus again. When we get to do something new, it makes us feel what we are capable of and that's an equally nice and a scary feeling.

- I started Schik because it frustrated me how people use vases in a wrong way. So a simple goal would have been to teach all vase owners how to use it correctly. That would be education, and selling Schik approved vases and vase x flower combinations I guess. Clear businnesmodel if you ask me (now).
But with every opportunity we get as a studio, it shifts the purpose a little, and a little more, up to the point where the initial tought just vanishes. I KNOW this is a concept that will work, I know there's a difference to be made, but keeping focus requires energy and time- unfortunately running a business and having a day job is not an easy peasy combination (for me, dealing with lack of energy and stress issues). When we get to do new things, we get to learn what we love to do and that feels so empowering! I never knew I would host workshops and teach people about what I love so much. So I'm taking some time to reconnect with my businessvalues and managing the shift. I'll be building the Schik brand with an amazing graphic designer, behind scenes and soon (when I'm ready) I'll have the option open to buy stuff on a webshop type thing. So hang in therrrre 🖖🏻

PS: I love the spider version of gerbera daisies and I will never stop saying it!!!!

Ellis & Josse trusted us to design their wedding bouquet and boutonnière and we loved all of it! We had a load of flowers so we made two versions of the same briefing for the bouquet (this is a unique service tho so don't expect this everytime from us haha) and they went with the more compact version (pt.2 & 3) instead of the flowy dramatic one (pt.1) which had my preference. The twisty alliums are so great for adding drama and quirk to a design, it's our newest favourite (except that smell, oof). Designing non-traditional wedding bouquets full of color really is our jam so if that's yours too and you're still looking to have flowers for any occasion; hit us up! We're waiting for you! 💥

Last weekend assisting Fleur .clementine for J&J's wedding 🫶🏻

We were scared at first for the bigger installations like a boat and a fountain but with a team effort and our knowledge combined, we made it work! With a chickenwire+moss base and water filled tubes it was all built sustainable (love!).

In the future we'd LOVE to take on bigger projects and installation work and we're practising in construction and design every chance we get.

There's some projects we're doing this summer (workshop, bridal bouquets and 1-on-1 lessons with Laurice ✨), we're looking forward to all of it! 💞

With mother’s day being over, we had the chance to rewind, review and re-think what studio.schik is now and what we care about. All our customers got the chance to review our mother’s day service and product and it feels heart warming to read good reviews (flowers being the freshest they ever got or how they loved our bouquets) to reading the bad things that has to be better next time (some flowers that went bad fast or the timing of the delivery -very very late). We look back with mixed feelings but with a lot of motivation to grow forward from here on! Selecting fresh and special flowers is what we care about most, doing it sustainable as we go and challenging ourself. We’re looking forward to keep learning so don’t ever hesitate to send an email with a project, a collab or an inquiry :- ) we’d love to explore what we can do more!

A visual representation of the mother’s day bouquets - sweet reminder that orders are open until tomorrow, to be sure you get yours. Bouquets come in 3 sizes and price ranges; a sweet one for €30 a lovely one for €50 or a deluxe one for €80 🍀 treat your mom, yourself or any loved one! We selected flowers that should last pretty good so you can enjoy them for up to 1,5-2 weeks if you’re taking good care (more about this later this week). We’ll also have some tulip bunches!

Welcome 💞🍀 we're opening the atelier for the first time for mother's day!

If you want flowers, you can order them through our website. The bouquets come in 3 sizes (€30, €50 and €80) each of them full of spring-beauty! Only pick-up in Antwerp on 13 (afternoon)-14-15th of may!

We're going to host workshops but we're not sure yet which one! You can sign up if you'd like the info but we'll share the info.

Celebrating spring with a lush wild vase arrangement ✨ We love the robust shape and material of the vase and how it works in contrast with the flowy shapes of the flowering branches! This really was a piece that changes and opens up during it's vase life, tulips keep growing and start to crawl around the vase, the special alium flowers open more/or close. To us, this realley resonates with the fresh spring vibes!!! 🍃
