Welcome to HEC’s final for our fantastic full/part-time team! 🫶 
 
Meet Holly Holloway, HEC’s CEO, founder, and lead event strategist. After a decade in the events industry, Holly has learned what truly drives successful events — and it’s not mastering the event trend of the season, flashy details, or even giant budgets. It’s all about connecting with the heart-beating people you’re bringing to the table and offering them an exceptional event experience that lasts for ages. Typically, you can find Holly meeting with clients, syncing with teammates, and carefully juggling logistics, documents and spreadsheets. Additionally, Holly spends a good portion of her year working onsite in venues across the USA to execute events of all types. Her favorite part about Holloway Event Co is getting to work alongside our incredible team to bring events to life. In her free time, Holly most enjoys chill family fun time, dog cuddles, girls nights, dinner parties, deep conversations, the beach, big cities, and globe-trotting. A fun fact about Holly is that she lived in Haiti for 6 months after college - a total life changing experience!

! Next up is Drew Holloway, HEC’s Chief Operating Officer. Drew describes himself as a jack of all trades; he studied music, and also worked as a DJ and emcee! On a typical day, Drew is focusing on business operations and overall team needs, and he regularly steps in for all things AV, tech, and budgets/numbers. He also works with clients to ensure all of their needs are being met from top to bottom. His favorite part about working at Holloway Event Co is connecting and building relationships with our clients! In Drew’s free time, you may find him singing, dancing, or spending time with his family. A fun fact about Drew is that he won his high school’s talent show by impersonating Michael Jackson’s dancing!

As we close out this week, the team at Holloway Event Co. wants to take a moment and reflect on the tragedy that occured at the Covenant School in Nashville this past Monday. Our thoughts and hearts are with all of those who have been touched by this tragedy. We are reflecting on ways that we can better protect our children and all the individuals who spend their days inside of schools and public spaces. Silence is a form of violence and we need to stand up for what we believe in to make a change.

Meet Morgan Fry! Morgan is a Texas native who recently moved to beautiful East Tennessee. She serves HEC as an Events Manager and you can typically find her sourcing and collaborating with vendors, connecting with our clients, and working events to ensure all logistics fall into place! Her favorite part about working at Holloway Event Co is seeing the team collaborate together. In her free time, you may find Morgan hiking, playing with her dog Howie, listening to live music, or exploring new restaurants around Knoxville. A fun fact about Morgan is that she loves the beach!

Meet Cait McGehee! Cait serves on the HEC team as a Sr. Events Manager. She is originally from the midwest, but moved to East Tennessee 5 years ago and has fallen in love with it! She spent 8 years working in the specialty coffee industry where she planned and executed trade shows and events worldwide. Typically, you can find Cait meeting with HEC clients, posted up at the HEC offices planning and navigating logistics, or bringing her event skills to on-site projects. Her favorite part about working at Holloway Event Co. is seeing big projects fully come together onsite. In her free time, Cait loves to be outside with her dogs, cat, and chickens! Some fun facts about Cait are that she loves to experiment with craft cocktails and has an irrational fear of possums!

Meet Mia, one of HEC's fabulous part-time Events Specialists✨ 
Mia is originally from Boston and is a student at the University of Tennessee. 🧡 Currently she is studying Hospitality & Tourism Management concentrating in event planning. Mia is also an involved and dedicated member of Tri Delta sorority on campus where she serves as the Director of Philanthropy. Typically, you can find Mia working on sourcing event venues and hotels, connecting with vendors, and creating social media content. Her favorite part about working at HEC is the amazing team and being able to get such great industry experience all while being a college student. In her free time, she loves to try new things, travel, and just spend time with friends. A fun fact about Mia is that she got stung by a bee one time and the stinger is still stuck in her hand! 🐝

A lot has changed in Knoxville since 1922, but through that time, United Way of Greater Knoxville has been constantly serving our community 🤗

In 2022 we had the honor of helping them celebrate 100 years of service with an unforgettable Centennial Gala & Afterparty!

The balloon-adorned entry photo op set the mood for a memorable evening, and guests were treated to an amazing dinner, lots of laughs, live music and dancing 💃🕺

While all that would make for a fabulous evening by itself, the highlight of this event was recognizing a very special guest — Mr. Jim Haslam was named “Volunteer of the Century” for the incredible impact he's had on our city and the people in it. Congratulations Mr. Haslam! 🎉

Here’s to the next 100 years of creating a lasting impact in the Knoxville area! 🧡

First up, meet Amaree Moss. Amaree serves on the HEC team as a part-time Events Specialist. On a typical day, you can find Amaree accomplishing tasks for local and national events by conducting research, connecting with clients, and managing event logistics. Currently, Amaree is an MS in Marketing candidate at the University of Tennessee with a background in Marketing, Information Management, and Hospitality and Tourism Management. Amaree’s favorite part about working for HEC is the culture and the people. In her free time, you may find Amaree with her friends and family, at a sporting event, or just spending time outside. A fun fact about Amaree is that she has wanted to be a party planner since she was 4 years old!

We rolled out the red carpet for some of East Tennessee's star volunteers! 🌟

The Volunteer East Tennessee Recognition Awards breakfast honored the individuals & organizations who diligently serve our region’s non-profits.

This event was all about pampering these generous helpers who give so much throughout the year 🤗

Volunteers enjoyed a delicious brunch while celebrating the accomplishments made possible by their dedicated work.

Branded signage, custom-made cookies with the event logo, and a red carpet wall perfect for photo ops were just a few of the special details that helped make this standout event a memorable occasion 🤩

Of course the best award of all is the moments shared while honoring these incredible volunteers. We love serving the organizations who do so much to serve our community!

Events have been a rollercoaster the past few years, and we’re especially grateful for the clients who’ve been along for the ride! 🙌

The Knoxville Technology Council has navigated all the loop de loops with us — starting with a standing-room-only launch event in 2019, followed by a quick pivot to virtual events in 2020.

Most recently, we organized a hybrid event at JTV featuring a leading Silicon Valley tech company.

👨🏻‍💼In person attendees received a friendly welcome & personalized name badge. Our portable printer ensures a professional look for everyone - no handwritten name tags here!

On their way in, guests could grab an ice cold water and KTech swag before settling in for the presentation.

💻 Virtual attendees joined via Zoom with introductions & networking in the chat feed. During Q&A they had the opportunity to submit their questions right along with the in-person audience.

🍷 After the presentation, By the Tracks Catering served up a delicious menu of happy hour bites & KTech members were invited to a Members Lounge for a meet & greet with the keynote speaker.

KTech received enthusiastic feedback about this event from both virtual and in person attendees, and we’re looking forward to more events with them this fall!

Behind every special occasion is a talented team of vendors working together to make it an unforgettable celebration! ✨

For Allison and Rob's wedding at The Mill & Mine we gathered an all-star crew of creatives to give the Chapmans a beautiful beginning for their life together 💖

From the hors d'oeuvres and cake to the signage and decor, every aspect was a work of art! 😍

This boho design mixed whimsy & sophistication with a mesmerizing display of paper stars and dried foliage, suspended over tables dressed in neutral linens and vibrant florals.

The biggest star of the night (other than Allison & Rob themselves 💕) was the photo booth! 📸

Marsh Made Design built a custom moon & stars background, and with Alyssa Johnson Bryant's painting skills, Allison's vision was hit spot on 🌙

Then Heather Wolfe Art captured it all in real time with a romantic portrait of Allison & Rob dancing in the clouds. Seeing their reaction to the finished painting was priceless!

Last month we took a trip to the stars with The Episcopal School of Knoxville for their 18th annual Saint’s Gala! 💫

The theme for the evening was Fly Me to the Moon, and the Edison bulbs suspended from the ceiling at The Press Room made us feel like we could almost reach out and touch the Milky Way 🤩

Guests were treated to butler-passed hors d’oeuvres, refreshing cocktails, and a sweet treat at every seat 🧁 Plus dinner & a live band! 🎶

We even put a man on the moon when our emcee, Rev. Matt Farr, showed up in full astronaut attire! 👨‍🚀

The very best part of a night like this is the lasting impact it makes, and we were over the moon when the ESK silent auction raised more than $200k for scholarships! 🎉
