the seeding doesn’t really stop anymore for this tiny farm… we are starting a lot of own perennials this year & are big fans of fall flowers/crops we can hang & dry! we are also growing many herbs this year which we look forward to having!!!

sometimes you just gotta farm in your bathing suit & blueberry glitter jelly shoes ya know?? so proud of this little gal- she helped me all morning get some plants in the ground, w**d & water (she was rewarded with a first beach day of the year & icecream btw) teach the children to take care of the earth- and the earth will take care of you 🧡✨ all the main production marigolds are in the ground and as we continue to plant all sorts of different fun crops, all the small varieties of marigolds are being stuck at end of beds for some more trialing this year - happy growing season y’all

painted mountain corn seed 🎨⛰️🌽 really love all these colors! last year i attempted to grow decorative corn but due to the lack of time & drought, i ended up with miniature ears. this year i am determined to get a strong yield for all sorts of fall decor! today - painted mountain, glass gem, hopi turquoise, bloody butcher, atomic orange & a couple more varieties were sowed

the only eggs that were found yesterday - some spring farm days are spent picking hundreds of rocks out of your field & wrestling hundreds of ft. of landscape fabric on a windy day by yourself… but we get the job done!! any farmers out there have a cool/genius idea with what they use all the rocks from their field for?

that morning dew 💦 love me a swirly wurly center of a dahlia! this year we are trying to build up our stock and ordered tubers from some local farms here in New England as well as some new farms we’re trying out from the mid west…. i also can’t help myself and always splurge on some varieties because iykyk 🤩 in a month it will be time to put these babies in the ground!

violas stuck in a web 🕸️ first little flowers out of the tiger eye viola patch! this makes me excited to show you what some of our edible mixers will be like! pulled the spider card out of one of my favorite decks by , the card read —— “It is hard work, but the spider neither tires nor becomes impatient. It reminds us creativity is everywhere. Be process-oriented, and soon your “work” becomes like the weaving of a magical priceless tapestry. Since August of 2020, the program has donated over 260,000 lbs of local seafood which equates to approximately 173,000 meals to communities in need. In addition to all of the events (cooking classes, dinners, and cooking demos) and presentations (including conferences and college/university classes) we've held, species served, and amazing partnerships with chefs, seafood businesses, seafood ambassadors, and other organizations we've built, we will soon be sharing the results from our most recent major research project focused on how New England seafood supply chains will adapt to shifting species distributions.
