Last week, we hosted a communal dinner at All The Smoke Seafood featuring a tasting menu to sample what’s to come from the new restaurant! It was such an amazing vibe and the food was chef’s kiss.

This new restaurant is just what Mobile needs! It’s refreshing, picturesque, and just pure vibes. The menu is well rounded and the environment is eclectic + upscale.

In 2015, I read “The Conversation” by Hill Harper, and it helped me understand my relationship with men and the breakdown of the Black family so much more. In the book, Hill Harper recommends hosting a gathering with couples + singles to connect and talk about how we can build stronger relationships, both romantic + platonic. I had a thought about this the other day and decided to dedicate this month’s installation of A Seat at the Table: Communal Dining to getting deeper and exploring why Black men + women have stopped communicating effectively, why it threatens the very relationships + marriages necessary to sustain the Black family, and what we can do build successful, sustainable relationships…a conversation that needs to be had. This is going to be a good oneeee!
