Bass Osuna, from Washington, DC 🇺🇸

He grew up between Tunisia & France where he started his dance journey with multiple styles of HipHop.

He started Social Dance 16 years ago and has been teaching multiple styles for over 10 years now.
He learned from some of the top teachers internationally, and he plans to keep on pushing through his passion for Kizomba in the upcoming years.

It is an absolute pleasure to introduce you to one of the hosts… 🥁🥁🥁

DJ Siiiiink 🎧 ! An entrepreneur, a passionate artist, and a human with such a viibbbeeee 🔥🔥

Sinker DjSink started his musical journey at the very young age of 5 years when he learned to play the piano. At 12 years old, he became part of a symphonic orchestra where he added the drums, the guitar, the djembe, and other traditional African instruments to his repertoire. Always eager to learn and challenge himself, he took on music production by beginning with hip-hop beats. A few years later, he discovered and fell in love with kizomba. His first kizomba instrumental tracks were a hit on his Soundcloud page and have since been featured in many mixes by DJs around the world.

DJ Sink was noticed by the talented Dj Zay'X from Paris during one of his trips to Montreal, and their affiliation led to collaboration on a successful instrumental. Shortly after, he decided to learn how to mix music during kizomba socials in Montreal. His talent quickly attracted the attention of the dancing community and within one year, he became established as one of the best Montreal kizomba DJs. He has been invited to mix in numerous festivals internationally.

And Halifax, you are next!!!

She is remarkable, and we just love her! Please welcome to Brigitte Aucoin to Kizomba Sabedoria Weekender : Halifax Summer Edition !!

Brigitte Aucoin, from Halifax, 🇨🇦 . Growing up in a musical household in rural Nova Scotia, she has been involved in the arts 🎭 , from music 🎶 to fine arts, theatre from a very young age. But it’s really when she found dance 💃🏼 at the age of 21 that she found her true passion.

Her first passion was Cuban Salsa, but Kizomba soon stole her heart when she was exposed to it 15 years ago while living in France. Back in Halifax, Canada she became a Cuban salsa instructor for 12 years as well as studying various forms of dance from Ballet to Argentine Tango. She was excited to see Kizomba start to become popular 🤩.

At that time she started travelling in North America and Europe to train both as a Lead and Follow, Including completing teacher trainings and learning from some of the top teachers internationally 😍. She has also trained in all the styles under the Kizomba umbrella. She started the Kizomba scene in Halifax 9 years ago by herself organizing classes and socials as well as guest teacher workshops 🫶🏻. She has done lots of work to educate people about Kizomba and to help it grow in Halifax and Canada. As well as to normalize role switching and co-creativity in social dancing.

She is known for her teaching skills and for teaching a strong but creative foundation. She loves musicality and isolations and likes to keep dances playful and full of sauce 🔥🔥🔥

Mike is an international dance artist born and raised in Kinshasa, DRC 🇨🇩 . After moving to North America to pursue his studies 📚, he found a dance passion that led him to share and help as much as possible to grow the community and love for dance 🕺🏾.

He goes by one and only one motto in his teachings... SAUCE 🔥 OR NOTHING!!

Valentina has been practicing massage in Halifax for over 9 years. She has extensive experience working with dancers and athletes. Being a flamenco and social dancer herself, she knows the importance of self-care.
Valentina offers a range of pressure, however, she specializes in myofascial release, deep tissue massage, face/scalp treatment, joint & muscle restrictions, and chronic pain patterns to restore optimal and pain-free body movement.
Using a holistic approach, her goal is to work with you, bringing more self-awareness to your daily life, enhance body functionality, injury prevention, and most importantly, long-term vitality.

Those 2 semba lovers are two great dancers that partnered up to create Amantes Do Semba, in the wonderful and vibrant Montreal. When Angola 🇦🇴 meets Canada 🇨🇦, you know this means serious business. Their passion for the dance is imprinted in their craft and they're eager to share their knowledge, and the culture. The love for this beautiful dance has been the motor of their teaching.

They have been showcasing their talents in North America, either with their entertaining acrobatics and skilled demos or with their precise explanations to their students.
