The key to hiring a good photographer is finding one with a good heart. I wanted some pictures taken of my parents Anniversary party, and Lee Ann Stokes immediately came to mind. She’s kind, compassionate, incredibly thoughtful and extremely creative. All these traits come across in her photography. She has a unique way of capturing not only smiles, but the entire moment. My parents are celebrating their 45th Wedding Anniversary this year. Since that is a Sapphire year we decided to use blue decor, and it looked stunning!
Pro tip: ALWAYS look at table linens in person AND open them up on the table. When I first showed my mother this tablecloth on the hanger, she was concerned it would look like a bed sheet covering the table. But once we got it spread out, she loved it!

I love the night before a Wedding at Havisham House! It’s like Christmas Eve!! Jerri and Nick are putting finishing touches on the venue, while I coordinate with the Bride and Groom to help them have their dream wedding. Everyone is excited and eagerly anticipating the next day. The first day for this couples Happily Ever After ❤️

A little more than a year ago, I got a message from this lovely lady. She asked if I would like to be part of an all inclusive bridal package at her Wedding Venue, Havisham House. It didn’t take long for me to say, “Yes!” and I’m pretty sure I did a happy dance when we came to an agreement.
Jerri, I can’t thank you and Nick enough for reaching out and taking a chance on me. I was still very new to the wedding world and had only been in business a year when I started coordinating weddings at Havisham House.
Thank you for your kindness, comradery, and most of all for having faith in me. Working with you at Havisham House has truly been a dream come true and one that I will always treasure.

It’s officially been 2 years since I started JG Events and Special Moments. I had no idea where to start in building my own business, I just knew I wanted to. I reached out to a brilliant business friend, Kathy Bryan, and asked if I could pick her brain about starting my own business. She not only agreed, she also introduced me to the wonderful women at Union County Women in Business. These ladies were/are a wealth of information, as well as kind and generous souls. Due to my current work schedule I rarely, if ever, make our monthly meetings. However, I will always be grateful to this group of ladies, and their comradery. The conversations and advice I have received from this group of lovely ladies is something I will always treasure 💖
