Listen, I’m not usually a ”Birthday Week” having type of bitch, but this year there’s actually a whole lot of things to do in conjunction with me getting older. Starting the week off tomorrow with the usual breezy beach vibes at Playa del Amor/Mission Bowling Club. The very next day we celebrate love at the same venue with Dark Alles Valentine’s special (also starring: Starr, Zlaya and Polly). On Wednesday, the good judies at Cat Club is throwing me a cupcake party for Playland, and then we head up to Guerneville for a little R3 takeover with my La Mano brethren on Saturday. Sunday back again for more Playa del Amor. I hope I get to see you one one or all of these events, and if not, that’s cool too!

While I might not be winning any design awards for my skills in photo editing, I still wanted to share my excitement about this coming Sunday, when the kind folks at has allowed me to go a little extra Swedish for Xmas/Saint Lucia. Bar maestro Erica has concocted her own version of Glögg (mulled wine), that she calls Gluggy Glögg, there will be a pop-up by , serving up cinnamon knots and peppermint chocolate cake (kanelbulle! mintkladdkaka!). I will try to locate some Swedish tunes in my collection, and maybe a xmas song or two. And maybe, just maybe, that old jolly guy in red will make an appearance. The only way to find out is to come see us at MBC between 3-6PM (be on the early side if you want to catch the baked goods before they disappear).
