👀 (Jor) Danah and David have been working in art and design for over 30 years, and their passion for visual art and music is what brought them together 22 years ago. David's unexpected eye injury even inspired the name of their creative partnership.

🎧 Since then, Retinal Rupture Visuals has been creating immersive visual experiences for electronic music events, collaborating with music studios, venues, DJ collectives, and radio stations across the world. From Amsterdam to Miami to South Korea, they've created everything from logos and infomercials to live shows and original video artwork.

🌟 Their constant drive for curiosity and creativity is what fuels their addiction to creating new visual content every week. With motion graphics as one of their creative platforms for visual expression, they love to use their art to tell the story of techno and other electronic musical genres.

We're thrilled to announce that Alexander Paton will be capturing us in his incredible portraits during the upcoming edition on March 18th. A unique opportunity to have your night captured by an exceptional artist!

Alexander Paton is a Scottish artist, born in Glasgow in 1967 and for the last seven years, he has been working as an artist and dumpster bum in Amsterdam. Apart from painting, Alex has also explored other creative fields such as sculpture, installation, performance, and music. For the past year and a half, he has been writing and performing 'The Musical': A Pandemical Musical, all songs of which were written together with his lockdown brother, the musician Alexander Tam.

ARTIST INTRODUCTION - SECREET SELEEN

Secreet Seleen (Seger Terpstra), entered the nightlife and entertainment industry in the winter of 2016 at Club BASIS as a a light jockey, working for a monthly open-minded party. However, a change in policy at the club left Seger without means. Through their discovery of the Amsterdam nightlife scene, Seger found a community of performers and artists who shared their passion on stage and an alter ego was born. Secreet Seleen, formerly known as "Secret," took to the stage, dancing at venues like Marktkantine, Ruigoord, Supperclub, Club NYX, Club BASIS, and various festivals and events.

Secreet Seleen's performances for DJs with various tastes allowed her to develop a personal taste for music that allowed for the most extravagant expressions of the body and exuded joy throughout the audience. She found this in the melodies, harmonies, emotional expressiveness, and voice of disco music. DIVINE, Sylvester, and Malcolm McLaren were among Secreet Seleen's biggest influences.

De Trut Amsterdam invited Secreet Seleen from the stage to the DJ booth, where she did a back-to-back set with DJ Doornroosje that kept the club moving until the last minute. A sudden encounter with local techno music enthusiast and producer Dax Hoes gave Secreet Seleen the opportunity to fuse her love for the hypnotic and trance-like atmosphere of techno with the infectious energy and upbeat tempo of electronic house and disco.

Eventually, Secreet Seleen was invited to DJ for Alter Ego at RADION by Doeska Vrede and Jasper Löwik, who are also the founders of the venue The Other Side. Thanks to performers like Azula, Snorella WC, and ChelseaBoy, her drag family, Secreet Seleen has become a sight to be seen and experienced in the Amsterdam nightlife scene.
