We're excited to share that Gothic & Lo**ta Market is returning to San Francisco! Currently the largest lo**ta event in Japan, over thirty wonderful Japanese lo**ta fashion brands will be represented at Ursa Major 2024. 🐻 ✨
The Gothic & Lo**ta Market Pop-Up is located in the Spring Room on the Garden Level, and will be open on Saturday, December 7th until 6 PM.

Are you ready for J.ardsale?
J.ardsale is an annual J-Fashion swap meet (coined by our LA-based friend and colleague, ). This year, it will take place on July 14th in San Jose, CA at Guildhouse.
Seller tables are currently sold out, but entrance is free for shoppers and there is no admission ticket required to attend.
Before the event, we wanted to remind both sellers and buyers of some general tips and etiquette for swap meets and shopping events to generally make the experience smoother for everyone involved!

We are once again moving host cities and have found a new home in San Jose! We can't wait to share all the details with you very soon, but in the meanwhile please save the date!
As you may have guessed, we are not, in fact, rebranding as LA Kei. However, we want to take this opportunity to thank all of our non-Bay Area staff and volunteers! We started this group in 2020 by hosting online community events, and while at the time most of our original members lived in the Bay, over time we've had staff move away, and we've also welcomed new members with open arms. We are able to do in-person events now, and this is literally only viable because we have non-local staff and volunteers who are willing to travel in order to literally work for free to help our events succeed. So, to our LA friends and friends even further way, thank you for your work. We value and appreciate you!

Heading to 's Spring Kickoff this Sunday? Here's a quick checklist of things you might want to bring:
👞 Outdoor shoes (NOT heels): This event takes place in a garden (i.e. grass and dirt!) Depending on the weather, the ground may also still be wet.
🌧️ Light jacket or a rain jacket: Right now the weather for Sunday is low 50s and cloudy, but remember to check the weather report that morning in case anything changes!
🌷 Allergy Medication: Don't forget to take any allergy meds the night before or morning of! 🤧 There will be plenty of grass, blooming plants, and pollen. 👃
🌞 Sunscreen: That UV index can still get ya even if it's cloudy, and the weather can always change! Don't forget to apply sunscreen and re-apply as needed.
☂️ Parasol or sunglasses: 😎
🍿 Food or snacks (especially if you have dietary restrictions): Food cannot be brought into the garden, but there are picnic areas near the parking lot. Plan to bring some snacks if you need 'em!
