This week, we’re showcasing a stunning transformation that truly highlights the art of customizing a bridal gown to fit like a glove.👗

In the spotlight is a breathtaking dress that we’ve tailored to accentuate the bride’s unique silhouette. We started by refining the straps, ensuring they add both grace and support. The bust was meticulously sculpted with added cups for a seamless look, enhancing both comfort and contour. 🪡

We also removed excess layers from the skirt for a lighter, more ethereal feel, allowing the bride to move effortlessly.

The back of the gown was artfully opened up, creating an elegant and modern statement, while the addition of a bustle ensures practicality without compromising the gown’s flow.

And for the perfect walk down the aisle, we’ve hemmed the dress to brush the ground just right, allowing for a majestic entrance. ✨

Welcome to our Monday Alterations spotlight! ✨Each Monday, we dive into the transformation journey of a special dress, sharing the love and craftsmanship that goes into every stitch.

This week, we’re thrilled to celebrate Kayla’s enchanting fall wedding from last October. The autumnal hues in her wedding photos have us completely captivated! 🙌🧡

For Kayla’s gown, we focused on ensuring a flawless fit. We tailored the sides and bust of her strapless bodice, creating a silhouette that not only looked stunning but felt secure and comfortable throughout the day. 🪡

At Kayla’s request, we also raised the hemline slightly. This adjustment allowed her gorgeous shoes to peek out with each step and made it easier for her to slip into something more comfortable for the evening festivities. 👡

To add versatility, we introduced removable skinny straps, offering Kayla the option for added support. And, of course, we included a tastefully concealed bustle, essential for transitioning the dress for the reception.

A truly special touch was customizing Kayla’s mom’s exquisite veil to complement her gown perfectly, adding a meaningful “something borrowed” to her look.👰‍♀️

Working with Kayla and bringing her vision to life was an absolute joy. Her dress not only captured her personal style but also embodied the warmth and beauty of her fall wedding. 💒

Jet Set, Ready, Go : Traveling with Your Wedding Dress 👰 👗✈️

When it comes to destination weddings or travelling for your big day, transporting your wedding dress demands meticulous planning. To ensure its safety and pristine condition.

You may want to consider wrapping the dress in a 100% white cotton sheet, which helps maintain the fabric's integrity without the risk of colour transfer. Store the wrapped dress in a breathable, non-woven garment bag to protect it from dirt and moisture while allowing the fabric to breathe.

If flying, it's wise to inform the airline in advance. Many airlines accommodate wedding dresses in garment bags or even offer dedicated cabin spaces for hanging garments.

You can also politely ask the flight attendants if they can store your dress in the captain’s closet. As a thoughtful gesture, bringing a small treat for the cabin crew as a thank you can be a nice touch.

For road trips, lay the dress flat in the back of the vehicle or hang it from a roof handle to minimize creases. 🚙

Upon arrival, immediately unpack and hang your dress, and consider using a steamer for any unavoidable wrinkles. Remember, transporting your wedding dress is about more than just moving a garment; it's about safely transferring a significant symbol of your special day.✨
