While all of the princesses are different, the one thing they share is a compassionate heart and the desire to do the right thing. The Santa Claus was Nate Mitchell, a Black man from Detroit, who was giving Nichols an opportunity to see a fantasy character that is typically portrayed as an old white man that looked just like him.
