A Festive State of Mind (and Sight).
We’re bringing in a festive vibe as we draw inspiration from distinctly MIMAROPA originals.
ENTRANCE ARCHES
The left most arch resembles the Palawan peacock-pheasant, taking pride on its cultural significance as a symbol of conservation efforts to nearly extinct species. The cherry blossom details were infused from Balayong Festival of Puerto Princesa while tulle embroideries were inspired from Kulambo Festival of El Nido town.
The right most entrance is made to represent Marinduque with a butterfly arch. The province, known as the “Butterfly Capital of the Philippines” holds its annual celebration of Bila-Bila Festival. Zooming further details of the butterfly arch reveals Roman soldier inspired-masks from the well-renowned Moriones Festival.
The center arch highlights the provinces of Mindoro and Romblon. Singkaban, a welcome arch used for Bulacan festivities, were paired with wooden murals on both sides. The luscious fields with beaming sun rays remind us of Mindoro islands and its vast agricultural land while the mural on the right symbolizes Romblon’s majestic Mt. Guiting-Guiting and the crystal clear waters of Sibuyan Island.
STAGE
Lastly, the main hall maintains a fusion of playful yet traditional elements with Singkaban injected on the stage and even on wall posts.
