Nestled at the foothills of the Ozark National Forest, this 500 acre cattle ranch in Perryville is the perfect spot for weddings, private parties, special events, adventure weekends, and much more! Iron Horse Farm was founded in 1970 by Arkansas business icon William Darby as a premiere equestrian center in the state. The farm continued down the equine track for a number of years with winners on t

he state and national level. In 2012, Perryville native Robert Allen purchased the land for his personal horses and began raising cattle. The farm now specializes in Black Angus although you will still see horses on the grounds, mainly retired racers or hobby ponies for Allen’s granddaughters. During the COVID-19 lock down of 2020, Allen’s daughter, Katharine and her partner Jim, along with Katharine’s two daughters and their family pets relocated to the farm. It was during this time that Katharine and Jim began extensive renovations and dreaming about the possibilities of Iron Horse. Katharine envisioned the barns being transformed into vendor stalls for “junktique” sales and weddings. Not to be left out, the girls wanted to share their outdoor adventures with others but more on the “glamping” side like Jim and Katharine’s photos from an African safari. And so, in a nutshell, that’s how Iron House evolved from an equestrian farm into what it is today. And we hope to continue growing our vision for this magnificent place. Right now we have three focuses: a working farm, an event center, and a site for an annual “juntique” sale.

Love having an Iron Horse summer harvest! Our first meal of the year all from the IHF garden…tomato pie, cucumbers & grilled eggplant, zucchini, okra & squash. It was delicious! (& check out the ginormous zucchini we missed until today)
