I’ll have plain (cinnamon/sugar), cream cheese, or raspberry filling available, and two sizes (classic or personal) to choose from. Out of the heart of an ambitious high school student in an entrepreneurship course came the first thoughts of HBG's.

My name is Mary Beth Thornton, and it has been a dream of mine to start a bakery. I started baking for teachers and classmates in high school, and have since grown to love the art of baking.

My specialty? PIE. Pie is where it all started. Watching my mom make apple pie, and having her teach me how to make it opened the door to this adventure. I grew to love making pie crust, and even grew to love eating it. 😂

I've broadened my range from just apple pie to tarts (as pictured here), cakes, cookies, various pastries, and more. However, of all things pastry, pie holds a special place in my heart, no matter the kind.

HBGs is not just about pie, but pie is where it all began. I can't wait to get more out for you guys to see, but for now I hope you've enjoyed learning a little bit about me.😁

It’s been my dream to own a business where I get to serve people while doing something I absolutely love. 😊 ✨Thank you to everyone who has listened to me go on for years about opening an bakery someday. Thank you for encouraging me to pursue this, and for pushing me to grow. This adventure is just getting started, but I want to invite everyone to tag along!
