We would like to introduce you to Job Sanchez from Team Mexico (pictured in the middle - with our own Cade Ferguson on the left and Jobs Dad Jorge in the right)

We are delighted to be partnering with Cactus Rodeo Company, Rodeo Saddle Shop and Aussie Outback Coaches & Transfers to sponsor Jobs upcoming tour to Australia. Job and Jorge will be travelling with Team USA Youth Bull Riding (party of 28 😂) and will arrive just in time for Isa Rodeo.

We are excited to be hosting them for the week in between with a tour through to Townsville to then compete at North Queensland Elite Rodeo

We have some great things planned with stopovers to view some of the local tourist attractions and sites at Cloncurry Shire Council, McKinlay Shire Council, Richmond Shire Council and Flinders Shire Council, along with some fun things around Townsville.

Remember Sunday is family day at Isa Rodeo so kids get in free.

Day 3 - a stopover at another of our favourite western stores Teskey's in Weatherford Texas before driving to Abilene to check in and get back numbers.

The boys then had to attend the mandatory competitors meeting for the upcoming days of competition.

Dinner stopover was “Hooters” where the boys all enjoyed the attention of the ladies dressed in skimpy clothing 😂😂. (don’t stress for Mums still at home - it really is one of the only restaurants that stay open late enough when after others have closed kitchen …….and it is not a topless bar - the waitresses just wear the uniforms they have on in the photo.

Day 2 of the Youth Bull Riders World Finals trip.

A little retail therapy then a little fun!!

Firstly stop is at NRS Ranch where the boys shopped till they dropped before taking the golf cart tour down through the ranch to the event centre.

We can’t thank Mark and NRS enough for your time and for very kindly presenting the team with NRS caps. We are so very grateful for your continued support.

Then on to Justin for some lunch before hitting Justin Discount Boots where the team shopped at the three huge buildings of bargain discount Western wear. Justin discount boots have been another long term supporter of our program and presented our team members with a Justin boots duffel bag each. Thank you Brandi and all the team at JDB - we are most thankful for your support.

Then a stop at Cabela’s to check it out - anything hunting fishing camping, or in between can be found in this one stop massive store.

To see all the wildlife the taxidermists have done such an incredible job on is such a privilege.

You didn’t need to look far to find all the boys - just hit the rifle range!!!

A very long and tiring day…but grins were seen from ear to ear!!

Everyone is getting a little excited for event check in tomorrow!!

Following our team currently in the Texas having a retail therapy day before heading to Abilene for the Youth Bull Riders World Finals, we will be hosting Team Mexico and Team USA Youth Bull Riding in Australia.

If you are going to Isa Rodeo or North Queensland Elite Rodeo (two of our biggest supporters over a number of years) please be sure to come and watch Team USA and Mexico compete against our own Australian kids in the mini bull riding competition

We are very honoured to help such a great bunch of people.

Our 2024 Youth Bull Riders World Finals team have landed in Texas.

While we will have photos coming through, this should be our last video to wind down Championship Finals at the Cinch World Championship Junior Rodeo 2024.

We were super excited to take our inaugural team to this event. This year we only opened the event up to those already going for the International Finals Youth Rodeo.

However it will be an event offered in our program next year so if you are interested in competing and haven’t already expressed an interest from previous posts, make sure you contact our page to find out how…

All three contestants who competed on this team did Australia proud, and we were excited to watch them make history.. congratulations to you all Molly Harper, Hope Doyle and Cade Ferguson

It was then fantastic to watch both Cade and Hope make it back to the Semi Final Round and both do so great.

We were all over the moon to hear that after the 2 go rounds, and semi final round Cade Ferguson then went on to qualify for the Championship Round held earlier today.

Cade give it his all to score 71 and end up 6th in the World which scored him a nice cheque and Championship Short-Go pendant as a momentum of this wonderful journey he has been on

We may not have had Cowboy Channel bringing this live but we did have plenty of Aussie Supporters there cheering and bringing us the videos of this.

🤠 we are extremely proud of Team Australia, and the incredible job they have all done at the Cinch World Championship Junior Rodeo 2024 at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie Oklahoma.

Some of the events were televised on Cowboy Channel including the Saddle Bronc where our own Cade Ferguson was featured in the Semi Finals.

Bring the kids along on the Sunday to have a fun day at Isa Rodeo.

We are grateful to have isa Rodeo be supporting our Youth Rodeo teams since the very beginning.

Thank you 🙏 and can’t wait for many of our team members past and present to be there again this year.

Rope and wrangle the kids because Mount Isa Rodeo Festival has announced that Sunday August 11 is officially the REX AIRLINES FAMILY DAY and with thanks to Mount Isa Mines all kids 17 and under welcome for FREE!

The final day of the Mount Isa Mines Rodeo, the Southern Hemisphere’s largest rodeo and the third largest rodeo in the world, will be a day of celebration, final BUCKLES and lots of fun including two of the funniest events in the arena, the Op Shop Barrel and the Super Hero Bronc Ride!

This week we watch a few of our International Finals Youth Rodeo team members also contest at the World Championship Junior Rodeo 2024 at the Laze E Arena, Guthrie Oklahoma.

Good luck to Hope Doyle, Molly Harper and Cade Ferguson.

This event will be offered on our program next year so keep your eyes peeled on our page for opportunities. There will be two age groups 12-14 years and 15-19 years.

Then the week after that we will be watching our Youth Bull Riders World Finals team compete in Abilene Texas. We have a fantastic group of kids going over for this and had high hopes for success for the recently crowned Australian Professional Rodeo Association 2 event Australian title winner Noah Di**le.

Unfortunately Noah recently suffered a broken fibula and has undergone fairly major surgery with plates, screws and a bone graft so sadly is no longer able to attend this years event. But we know with Noah’s determination he will be following doctors orders and getting the rehabilitation he needs to be up and at em as soon as he can, and we will definitely have a spot on next years team waiting for him.

We wish you all the very best for your recovery Noah and know we are all thinking of you, and can’t wait to see you back doing what you love again.

How does it feel to be the Junior Steer & Bull Ride Australian Champion? Yeah good feeling, good to see everything pay off what I set out to do at the start of the season and to get the result. I'm grateful for every experience that has led to this moment.

What motivates and drives you to be the best you can be? Setting goals and trying to achieve them! Watching other people and how they ride and putting that out in my performance to be the best athlete I can be.

Who was your biggest mentor/supporter? My biggest supporter is my mum! Mentors never ending list but Lance Anderson, Jack & Ron Woodall, both their from the start and got me going. A lot of people to thank the list is never ending but a massive thank you to everyone that has got me down the road all season and my sponsor Brandenburg Bucking Bulls. They took me in and got me down the road, some where to stay while I’m in qld and always running up practice bull.

What was your biggest highlight of the year. Winning finals for sure, coming to end of the season didn't come in sitting good spot so it’s a great feeling to be able to come away with both wins.

International Finals Youth Rodeo tour.

Our group has dwindled from 14 to 6.

We wish our two team members Cade Ferguson and Amelia Knowles who have travelled to Rock Springs to compete at the NHSFR the very best of luck over the coming week. We will try to keep you updated on their progress as well.

Today was relaxation day. Thank you so much Lynda and Jim Weaver for hosting the rest of the team for a couple of nights.

We have been truly honoured to visit your beautiful ranch Belar Farm and see the gorgeous Reigning horses Luke is working with, and to stay at your gorgeous home at Lake Koila. Thank you for your generosity.

Also a special shout out thank you to Rene and Kurt underwood who is hosting our Hope and Kirsty for the week back in Shawnee while they try a few horses for the WCJR.

A day at the Stockyards in FortWorth before dropping Kylie and Ruby at the airport, and sending Hope and Kirsty on their way back to Shawnee to prepare for the World Championship Junior Rodeo on next week.

Then back to Rachel cousins - Lynda Weavers place for the night - Wow!!! What a beautiful place!!!

Then the team were super excited to have a personalised session with Tom and Carrie Kelly - the rodeo coach from Odessa College. Tom and Carrie gave an insight to how to apply for college, what’s involved in being on the rodeo team, and about the scholarship side of it. We were very grateful for this special visit with our team (and for the water and cookies)..

Then back Thursday night for the performance.
