This weekend we unofficially say so long to summer, and if I’m being honest, I’m not mad about it. I love pool days and late sunsets, but there’s something about fall that my heart has been yearning for lately. Maybe it’s the sweaters, cozy recipes and the crisp air. Or perhaps it’s the predecessor to all the upcoming holidays {SHOCKER, I love to celebrate}. I think since finding I have become more sentimental to the first and last of the seasons moments, and I’m grateful for that. Too easily we get swept up in the hustle of life.
As I write this I’m enjoying a late morning coffee, watching my son search for snail shells in the yard. He’s carrying them around in his jack-o’-lantern bucket, and wearing his Woody cowboy pjs (I think he’s ready too). Our cats are rolling around in the sunshine and I have a box fan blowing for a synthetic breeze. It’s finally bearable to be outside, but not different enough yet to brave it alone.
Cheers to you if you read all of this. I’m not usually this chatty with captions. Must be the almost fall feelings 🍂🎃☕️
