Massive massive thank you to everyone who has been involved in this years Halloween event! It’s been not only a stressful few weeks but one of the most rewarding times for all who have taken time out of there lives to help contribute towards this special local event. The community spirit we have in Lostock is amazing and the amount of people that have been brought over her during these social events is something else. We hope we have all done you proud over the last few nights and brought not only smiles but scares too 😆👻

Just to confirm we are at the bottom of silverlea road, Lostock Gralam at the wooded area, please try parking up somewhere and walk down rather than clogging up the estates too much 🙏

With just over 27 hours till we open our doors again for our Halloween spooky walk we do hope to see as many of you all as possible to make all this worth while 🙏
Dress code is scary fancy dress but obviously not essential 🧛‍♂️👻🎃

In the meantime and from now carrying through the weekend we polity ask not only for your own safety but also to keep that element of surprise, do try and be vigilant if your near the wooded area as there will be equipment located in and around the area and the events team will be working hard to do our very best to ensure everything is in order and safe for our visitors.

Things have been moving really fast to get so much organised in such a small amount of time! We just hope to see as many of you over the 2 nights as possible. I’m sure all the plans and ideas that we are putting into place will be worth it after all this

There has been a lot of people questions if we are planning anything for this coming Halloween and truth be told we decided months back that due to certain situations and a couple of issues we faces we decided not to carry on with events for the foreseeable.
A lot has happened over the past 12 months and for many reasons some of our team has parted company with work and home life becoming priority.

So I’m order to even consider this I would like to know what everyone’s thoughts are and also if anyone would like to be involved in any way then please contact myself and will see what can be done to bring Halloween back to the woods of Lostock 🎃👻🧛vampire

👋 Hi there, my name is Sara Reading from Lostock Events.

I have decided to make an open statement, and to share with everyone a few things. Firstly a thank you to everyone who has ever helped out at one of our events and to all those who have attended. 💖

This morning it was made very clear that there are a few residents here in Lostock questioning not only our intentions but also that we do these events to 'make personal profit'. I was very upset to read an email outlining these concerns and suggesting that the upcoming planned summer fun day event is being planned to line our pockets. I feel the need to share with everyone what exactly was planned. 'Lostock events' were planning on paying for the hire of 2 large bouncy castle for all local Lostock residents to use. We have a few selected local home businesses who we are given the chance to showcase and sell their products. All of these were aimed to benefit both the local home businesses and to offer a nice selection of things to buy for everyone who wanted to attend. There is only a small donation been asked for per stall which would be put straight back into the pot ready to use for the next event. Now this would be the only money coming in from this event. As its free to attend and free to play. I've suggested people can come along and bring a picnic ect. We Have bought a few gazebos which can be used for shelter if needed also. I've also suggested that we can make it bigger by having a street party too.

The idea was for residents and locals to bring a picnic and meet other families and just relax and enjoy themselves.🥳🎂🥘🧆🍪🧃🍽🥂

So just to make this very clear..

not only is there no personal financial gain, but I am personally loosing my time and have In fact spent my own money towards things needed and used at these events.

This money we have for Lostock events is money I have personally worked very hard for. I applied for 1000 pounds from the police as a community group grant. That alone has taken me hours. I have spent days on setting up a group bank account. I have spent weeks and weeks researching, buying, making, organising, serving ect making these events happen. I have never asked or taken a penny for my time. As I mentioned earlier I've actually spend hundreds of my own money on props and materials. Also I am not the only one who has given up their time or money for the benefit of our community through these events. As you all know Matt j Pott started up this group and has put alot of time, effort and money in. Other names you should know for being the organisers in the past too are Charlene Stuart, Christiano, Craig Wardle and dave Marshall.

Now that I have said my peace, it would be great for some feed back and thoughts. Should this event still go ahead?

Would you like us to stop putting on community events?

With the money we were going to use on this event would you prefer it spent on something else?

As a fantastic team here at Lostock Events we are aiming to push on from last years achievements and hope to create lots more fabulous things to look forward too in the months ahead. Obviously during the current lockdown measures we are restricted as to what we can do but rest assured we have so many ideas in the pipeline and hope to bring not only seasonal events but family fun days and experiences for almost everyone to enjoy 🥳
In return I would ask each and everyone of you if you could please. Just write upto 3 words that would describe your experiences so far with us 🙏

2020 has been pretty shocking for so many of us in so many ways due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Although we are all looking through the same window with our tier 4 restrictions currently taking place we can only hope in the coming weeks/months that we can slowly start to get back to normal living again 🙏
All of us here have been blessed to have met so many amazing and wonderful people over the past months and to witness first hand what can be made possible if we all come together as one is truly inspiring.
From our team here at Lostock Events we wish you all love, health and best wishes for the new year 2021 and hoping to bring some much needed fun and entertainment throughout the year that will once again bring smiles to lots of faces 😊

Now the Xmas event weekend is all but a distant memory we can all start to relax and look forward to having as many of our loved ones around us as possible during the festive period. We personally want to put a bit of a shout out there for our unsung hero of the weekend. A lady that dedicated all her time running around doing what ever needed doing and nothing ever seemed too much trouble. We kind of relied a lot on this lady and if something needed doing she was pretty much there with the 1st hand up in the air volunteering 😊 massive massive thank you to Leanne Cashmore for all your help and efforts during the weekend 💐🍷🎁

Well we managed to pull it off once again and what a special weekend it’s been 🎅🎅🎅 So many of us have come together to make this happen and to hear all the positive reviews and feedback off so many of you is so overwhelming for each and everyone that has been involved in this throughout. Seeing so many of you all turning up over the 2 nights with your lovely families and leaving with smiles 😊
Think it’s so important to mention some of you that have been involved in this and I’m sorry if I miss a few as I’m sure you understand the list would be endless 👍🏻
Let me start with the Lostock Events Team;

Sara Reading you have put your heart and soul into this event and you should be proud of everything as without your efforts we wouldn’t have achieved half 👏🏻👏🏻

Craig wardle once again manages front of house and everyone inside with perfection, keeps everyone focused 👏🏻👏🏻

David James Marshall sorting out all the hot drinks and managing the massive flow of families at the main. Oh and your mum needs a medal for the amazing mince pies!! Went down a treat 👏🏻👏🏻

Charlene Stuart the dancing Mrs Clause 😆🎅 kept everyone happy and entertained and with help from others you were the main contact at the front. Great job 👏🏻👏🏻

Cristiano B Stuart the most patient man I’ve ever met! All design work has been done by this guy and nothing seems any trouble. Entertained throughout thank you 👏🏻👏🏻
