Celebration of Bengali New Year is always a two days event for us. The last day of the bangla month (chaitra sankranti) and the first day of Bangla month (Baisakh). 🥳

Preparing special vegetables (Pachon - with all types of available traditional vegetables) is always special for Chiatra Sankranti. Since we landed in Canada in 2009, we tried to collect all available vegetables from local market to make this Pachon. 2021 is no different and we are able to collect more than 40+ types of vegetables to cook this dish 😊😊

Different types of Vortas (meshed vegetables), Hilsa fish fry (National fish of Bangladesh) along with sweets are some mandatory traditional items for First day of Baisakh Celebration. We are truly grateful to celebrate this festival along with all traditional dishes 😊😊
