Things aren’t coming together for the WIR race. we cant get dry enough clay and other big issues with track building and weather are arising. We will run the WIR race in the fall for 2024 so we don’t run into these issues again. An updated 2023 schedule should be out by the end of next week. This is a actual picture from our clay pit.

SODA’s introducing a new GOB class with full size trucks on tank tracks. Interest in this class is hot and a couple have already been built. This new class will run at the same time as the current GOB car class and the cars will get a head start. SODA will be removing all the jumps from all the SODA tracks and will use the GOB cars as jumps by ramming them from behind when in pursuit. Thru a new awesome sponsorship program with the government of Kazakhstan, racers who sign away their citizenship will receive a free decommissioned tank. RIDE in a real NITRO monster truck! In a partnership agreement between SODA offroad racing and Monster truck Nitro Tour the entire 2023 SODA schedule is going to have ride trucks at every event this year offering rides for kids and adults. Ride on a real SODA race track during an event in a full size NITRO MONSTER TRUCK! Expect more exciting things between these two series in the future! We’re excited to announce our 3rd track on the SODA 2023 schedule, TIGERTON MX by Fantasy Moto ( https://www.tigertonmx.com/). It’s a natural terrain type track, with sandy clay where the spectator area is on peninsula inside the track. Putting spectators right smack in the action. It’s also next to the Tigerton OHV Park & Campground (TIGERTON OHV PARK & CAMPGROUND (tigertonwi.com) that has river front campsites, Off-road trails, and laundry mat amenities. The WC4WD Off-road Club will be hosting trail rides etc. the day after the event (Sunday). The WC4WD club association has been a heavy volunteer force at the SODA races since SODA’s re-inception in 2021 and were super excited to be putting on this event with a hosted trail ride. We’re super excited to announce the return of SODA Offroad Racing at Sunny View Expo this year for the SODA Super Nationals. The event will be on Sept 29th and 30th. The crowd is always awesome at Oshkosh and there’s a big population of longtime racers in and around the area. Our Super National will see racers from over 20 states and Canada, all Racing for a big check! Smell the corn dogs, taste the cold beer, and feel the rumble of Offroad racing right in front of you.

The Sunny View Expo Center located in Oshkosh WI, has a rich history with Offroad Racing. The first year the fair opened in 1990 they had SODA put on an event and occurred yearly until 1998. In later years, races were put on by WSORR in 2008, TORC in 2009 and Vandenhuevel & Flanagan in 2010 and 2011.

Pretty stoked on the SODA tech team for 2023. Al McMillan is stepping up to be a tech director for both Wisconsin short course offroad series (SODA and CHAMP) and will add a level of uniformity in class rules and safety. Everyone on the SODA tech team is very experienced and has been involved in offroad racing for decades. Please thank these guys for there continued support and dedication to the sport.

BREAKING NEWS!!

Alan McMillen is a long time Offroad Racer with deep roots in SODA and MAORA in his younger years. More recently he was racing a PRO-LITE before retiring and working for many Offroad series as tech personnel. Currently he is the CHAMP sportsman tech director and now he will be helping out in the blue SODA trailer at a race track near you. His racing bio could fill a book! His primary obligations are still with CHAMP, and his cross over will help to better solidify a strong base for safety and rules across both Midwest series. His exemplary level of commitment to Short-course Offroad Racing is something to be admired, and we're proud to have him join the team.

It is with sad and heavy hearts that we share , SODA racer, Dan Ertman passed away last night in a motorcycle accident. He was running a light season this year because of time constraints and he was focused on building a new GOB car to handle the young guns in his class. Dan raced GOB in the 90’s with the original SODA, until the class was cut during the CORR years. He also did some mud drag racing in the interim. Dan built his GOB to run the CRANDON 50th and placed an impressive 3rd place! He always drove his car harder than his competition at Gravity park and was a crowd favorite. He will be deeply missed by his fans and fellow racers. Rest In Peace, Dan!
