Small businesses are the heartbeat of America.

Graham randomly walked into Gilbert’s the other day in Yazoo City and they handed him a box of Annie Glass we ordered from our wedding registry 10 years ago!!! Who does this?! Small businesses that’s who. For 10 years they’ve kept this box for us, kicked it, collected dust, it didn’t matter. The number of times they could have thrown it away or resold it… wow.

These 7 buffet plates were the best surprise and reminded me how important it is to shop local. These family owned businesses always have their customers best interest, no matter the cost.

Where are my Type A people at? The ones who believe everything in life should be symmetrical?

We built this house a little over 3 years ago while pregnant with our 3rd. I never gave this tiny room much thought during the build process. It seemed to be the least important. By the time the house was finished, we were so ready to be in, I decided to let some things go (plumbing showing and NOTHING centered) that weren’t perfect.

Over the years, this has been the room that EVERY guest sees and the very first room to greet me when coming home each day. The off-centered pieces have haunted me in my sleep and the space as a whole has been a thorn in my side.

Finally, this summer I found a little inspiration and hired my own little Chip and Joanna power couple to help me and BAM!💥 Dreams do come true.

Moral of this story - half baths matter too! When building, think of those rooms that everyone will see and don’t let the size fool you.

PSA: if you’re not using packing cubes, then you aren’t doing it right! 😜

I got these packing cubes for our big trip we took last December and will never go back. It’s amazing how much room they save, and you’re not constantly digging in your suitcase unfolding all of your clothes while looking for a certain piece. Shirts together, shorts together, bathing suits together, undergarments together. Finish with a nice roll and stuff!

I moved the location of my medicine cabinet today. It’s been in the same spot for 3 years and I now realize I just set myself up for my husband asking where the Tylenol is for the next 5….

On vacations mommas want to be able to get ready without a thousand people asking what they’re supposed to wear. Especially if you’re a Disney freak like me and have matching T-shirt’s… So here’s a packing hack- gallon ziplock bags labeled. The kids can easily dress themselves. Make sure to include socks and un**es in them too!
