This week's Black Wine Club show was picked by GROOVE-Magazin as one of their mixes of the month!!! Translated below:
“The days are getting longer, the weather more pleasant, the winter depression milder. At least that's how it feels. You should listen to this mix appropriately. The current edition of Black Wine Club welcomes you with soulful good vibes deep house and builds up into acid-heavy yet groovy techno. The London DJ and Rinse FM Resident Mr. Redley skilfully mixes different vocals and synth pads together and creates a club-like atmosphere, especially at the end, which invites you to dance.
In the course of the set, Redley always surprises with funky tracks, and despite the genre changes, you move in a musically related world. The selection is extremely nineties-heavy or at least sounds like that. Particularly striking are the raw and lively 909 drums in the tracks at minute 20:45 and 53:00, which give the mix a nostalgic vibe. Definitely a set that is up to the spring and the open-air season. The Black Wine Club Show runs every Monday from five to six o'clock on Rinse FM.”

In the Bowl, a Tolkien-esque woodland glade, DJs including Heléna Star and Mr. Redley played shimmering house to a small but energetic crowd, while the Rhythm Corner had rumbustious drum’n’bass, including a stirring, redemptive DJ stint from Goldie."

While other festivals fight over the big names, this one was headlined by the drum’n’bass pioneer Goldie and Róisín Murphy, the former Moloko singer, neither of whom are massive chart-botherers. And yet, hearteningly, it sold out.

🙌🏽 Last month I returned to @fabriclondon with my best friend in tow. Tim Garcia and myself playing back to back in Room 3, at peak time. What an incredible moment. Tim was celebrating not only his debut in the London institution but also his birthday. To see all our friends, and family packed into the room and hanging on every note was insane.
