After jumdhak, we went for lamhaang for the first time. It was a wonderful experience in the pukhimapan, full of wari watai and anouba eshei.

Jumjai Sessions is a Sylhet based house concert series bringing intimate acoustic shows by Manipuri musicians for the Manipuri audience. Offline, analog and slow, this platform inspires young Manipuri musicians of Bangladesh to write original Manipuri songs.

We had 5 acts in S3E1 (highest so far in a single episode): Sunny, Dipto, Sachin, Diba and Chondo.

Diba and Chondo performed one of their unreleased original Manipuri songs each while Dipto played a full set of his originals. What a haraobagi and chaothakchabagi moment for us!

Jumjai Sessions at jumdhak for the first time! December 11, 2020.

Thank you, Atiya Akash, host of this episode, for all the love and support you and your family provided.

The rooftop looked amazing because of Sumit Singha and his amazing decor team: Mangaal, Malaya, Partha, Epom, Kajoli and Jimi.

S2E2 kicked off with Chondo playing three songs including one of his originals. Ronik and Sushoma, the other two performers, played three songs each accompanied on guitar by Anik.

Thanks to Sheram Chingkhei for hosting this episode. Special thanks go to Laishram Anik Singha who helped the host at the eleventh hour in finally pulling it off after 48+ hours of no electricity in the town.

We tried and did our best to ensure a safe environment for everyone by maintaining all the precautions and taking safety measures. Except for the performers during their performances, no one was allowed to remove their masks. Everyone was disinfected before entering the venue.
