Who wants to bike around and look at art? Bike Party LNK, meet First Friday.

We're officially meeting this Friday, December 3, at the Sheldon at 6:30, will roll out at 7:00.

I, Adria (), will personally be riding there from around South street, so if anyone wants to ride to the Sheldon with me, let me know in the comments!

Our route and the places we will stop at shall be revealed/decided on the ride itself, but the general plan is to go to the Haymarket and then Downtown.

Put on those layers, charge up those lights, Bike Party LNK will be keeping you warm and moving this Friday! Which just so happens to coincide with the full moon, which will be lovely.

Swipe right for our route this month, we are meeting across the street from Russ's in the smoke shop parking lot and headed to Holmes Lake. Join us anywhere along the way! We should be at the lake around 8:00 and will have a little dance break there. Look for the flashing lights!

Oh, and, don't forget, Cranks Giving is the next day, Saturday, when we fill up the free little pantries with food. See our post about that, too!

Grab your most cargo-ready bike, Cranksgiving is coming to Lincoln on November 20th, 2021

and are getting our friends together to gather as much food as possible to make sure that people in our community can have a happy Thanksgiving.

The ride begins and ends at Juju’s and there will be snacks.

You can race or you can just roll and have a nice ride around town while delivering your donations.

Registration starts at 12pm and the race is on at 1pm sharp.

Bike PARTY! Tonight! Who's ready to go? Bike Party LNK welcomes all bike partiers! We are an easy going, social ride, with music. October is for costumes! Costumes encouraged, not required.

We are meeting up at Hazel Abel Park, 7:00. Roll out at 7:30. You can also catch us along the way, if you like! See our previous post for the route.

Here is the route for October 22nd!

We are incorporating some mural viewing into the ride this month, with our big break at the LUX Center for the Arts.

We are also hitting quite a few parks along the route for little 10 minute breaks. Join the party at any stop that suits your fancy!

The wait is over! Bike Party LNK is tonight!

Cooper Park
Meet up 7:00
We'll have chain grease and a tire pump if you need 'em.

We roll out at 7:30.
Route 1 will make a loop around Downtown and end at Cooper Park.

Route 2 will take us on a loop to Antelope park and back to Cooper again.

Bring your lights, water and snacks!

New this month for Bike Party LNK is a collaboration with Pepe’s Bistro: the Bike Library! This is a great option to ride with us if you don’t have a bike!

Pepe currently has five bikes ready to be borrowed. They are available to be checked out the day of Bike Party, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, to be returned the next day by 3:00 PM. ID required, and you will be asked to sign a waiver upon check out.

FYI, the Bike Library is also accepting bike donations!

What’s happening in Lincoln on the 24th of this month?! A Bike Party 🎉 🚴 😲

Ride with us this 4th Friday, September 24th! This month’s theme is DISCO! Did we mention that we love a good costume? Fancy disco attire encouraged.

Bike Party is a celebration of our love of biking, music, and community every 4th Friday. It may turn into an outdoor dance party, at our break spots along the route.

Bike Party is always free and open to all. Every kind of person and bike is welcome! We take it nice and easy on our bikes and take lots of breaks. Even if your bike is a little dusty, Bike Party LNK is for you.

We meet at Cooper Park at 7:00 pm. If you need air in your tires or grease on your chain, we have you covered. We roll out at 7:30 pm.

This month we are trying something new with our route, to accommodate the trepidatious bikers, the infrequent bikers, the bikers who don’t want to bike too far.

We will bike our first route from Cooper Park, around Downtown and through UNL campus and back to Cooper Park (with a couple breaks on the way). After another break in Cooper Park, we will take to the streets again for part two.

Check back in the next week (or so) for when we publish the official route, both parts one and two.

BRING: Lights, Locks, Layers. Everything you need for a self-supported 6-12 mile bike ride: Water, snacks, charged phone, party libations.

FOLLOW OUR SIX SIMPLE RULES!
Stay to the Right
Keep out of the left lane, let cars pass to the left.

Stop at Lights
Do NOT cork intersections or block traffic. We have volunteers to bring up the rear if we get split up.

Ride Straight
Be predictable, don’t weave, ride safely with a large group of riders.

Don’t Hate
No racism/sexism/transphobia/homophobia/bad vibes. Roll past aggression, don’t get into it with cars/other road users.

Pack Your Trash
If you brought it with you, YOU CAN TAKE IT HOME WITH YOU! Or find a proper receptacle.

Don’t get Smashed
Literally or figuratively.
