These gloriously short, over-crowded Ice King daffs are about to bring an immense sense of joy and hope. They were originally planted with such hope and big dreams, and they have faithfully flowered and weathered every storm that we've faced. Their beautiful blooms are definitely a sign for a renewed sense of purpose, hope and joy, which comes with the breath of a new spring...

As I left for school this morning, I marvelled at a few things:
- the positively balmy 10°c in the middle of winter
- the glorious sunrise reflcting on incoming clouds
- and clearly, this divine rose who really should be fast asleep & definitely not flowering

Dig, divide, repeat... I had decided not to dig the dahlias this year, but then I remembered how beautiful they look enmasse in the garden. The process is, however, somewhat tedious, so a timely reminder of their bounty was necessary for all of us in the thick of it...

Thank you to everyone who stopped into this afternoon for farm gate flowers, it was so lovely to meet you all.

Jen & I have been nattering away about all things flowers since the beginning of . A constant source of inspiration, support, and championing of ideas & strategies.
Yesterday, we had the joy of having Jen & one of her beautiful boys come to stay. A perfect start to the school holidays & fortuitously captured by the ever talented .
I'm so fortunate to have such a fabulous flower community, who, although stretched out across the country, are there to share the good, the bad, and sometimes ugly side of the flower farming life.
It's moments like yesterday that I pinch myself & know that I've found something truly special. To all of my flower fairy friends, I'm so grateful to know you & be travelling down the garden path with you 🙏

So many glorious treasures finally showing their faces after some decent rain over the past couple of weeks. You can water until the cows come home, but there's nothing like rain for the garden. Now just to squeeze a few solid weeks in before our first frost, which is usually due around ANZAC Day 🙏

After being gifted some incredible cuttings, every new hint of a bloom leaves me feeling like a kid in a candy shop... or, well, let's be honest, a flower farmer with a bulb/seed/rose bush catalogue.
