Each October, our destination wedding couples eagerly trade-in their autumn leaves and PSL for the soft rustle of palm trees and a mai-tai 🌴💆🏽♀️ while we love *COZY FALL VIBES*, we are forever grateful to live and work in a place that bears a gentle transition from a blazing summer to a slightly cooler, crisper, ambiance.
Another reason we love this season is because flights and hotels have better rates, and the island is generally less busy with everyone back in school and routines. With that being said, October is typically Hawai’i’s busiest time of the year for weddings.
Sold on a fall wedding in Hawai’i? Well, then it’s time to book a venue and planner before the holiday engagement season hits in a few weeks 🗒️✅💕

With colorful flowers and verdant foliage as the backdrop, it’s no wonder garden weddings are so romantic. 💐

Mother Nature does a great job of decorating, so play up that flora and fauna vibe by incorporating natural elements into your own décor. To help inspire your botanic vision and make your big day unique to you, here are 9 gorgeous garden wedding ideas. 🤩
1. Romantic Lighting
Kick the romance factor up a few notches with twinkle lights placed liberally amongst the trees.
2. Dessert Florals
When it comes to garden weddings, we think there’s no such thing as too many flowers—especially when decorating your wedding cake and dessert table.
3. Floral Accents on Paper Goods
While you’re at it, why not sneak garden elements into your stationery? The sweet floral accent at the top of this program perfectly matched the bride’s bouquet.
4. Indoor Garden Setting
Want a garden wedding even though it’s a cold or rainy time of year? No problem! Bring all the garden gorgeousness inside, like at a stunning tented wedding.
5. Pressed Flowers
Four words: Pressed flower table numbers. Okay, one more word: Swoon!
6. All the Greenery
Flowers are a given, but don’t shy away from using lovely leaves, garlands, succulents, or other foliage, too.
7. Floral Hair Accents
Ask your hairstylist to hook you UP in the flower department.
8. Cute-as-a-bug Wedding Favors
The downside of garden weddings? Bugs. Luckily you can DIY cute bug spray wedding favors to keep them at bay.
9. Edible Flowers
Float an edible flower in a pretty glass of rosé OR come up with a garden-themed signature cocktail of your own! Either way, we’ll take three, please.

It could be fun to rethink this role!! 👀

While kids can make the best flower girls or ring bearers, there are also times when it doesn’t make sense. Imagine the screaming child sitting in the middle of the aisle and no one is really sure what to do… 😅
It’s a great thing to laugh at in retrospect, but in the moment that could be stressful for everyone!
Instead, what if you reimagined the role to work for everyone from the get-go. Whether it’s your pup, your grandma, or your cousin who’s always down for a good time finding someone to fill this role in a different way could be for the best!🙌🏻

As you plan your trip to Hawai‘i, attending a lū‘au (feast) may be at the top of your list. Traditionally called a pāʻina (party), a lū‘au is a great way to experience Hawaiian cuisine and hula.
Repost from @gohawaii
Here’s what to expect if you are participating in one. When you arrive, you most likely will be greeted with a lei. There is often a buffet dinner incorporating traditional Hawaiian delicacies such as poi, kālua pig, and local fish.
Next, a hula performance will tell a story of Hawaiian lore. Some lū‘au incorporate other Polynesian dance styles such as Samoan, Tongan, and Tahitian.
These festive feasts are a beautiful showcase of Hawaiian culture and greater Polynesia. Attend a lū‘au during your trip to learn more about Hawaiian cuisine, hula, and more.
