is a young visual artist and graphic designer. After dropping out of studies, they now linger in the inspirations arising from the intertwined developments and paranoias arising from the current condition of immobility. Their works spring from an obsession with ‘invisible images’ such as memories, distortions of one’s own perception of oneself and others, dreams, sounds etc. and the way boundaries among these images get blurred in the process

The event will be streamed for free on our Twitch (+YT, FB, Mixcloud) channels but a small fee will be asked to join the zoom party so make sure you get the tickets in time (Link in our bio)!

We think that every artist should be paid for their art!

Here’s the fees:

⁃ ONE DAY (day 1 or day 2 as you prefer)= minimum €3, suggested €8.
⁃ BOTH DAYS= minimum €5, suggested €15

A CALL FOR CONNECTION

“A call for connection” is an interactive installation presented by Ylenia Bonora on December 25, 2019 at the venue Tempio di Shindy during the event Family Reunion, in collaboration with artist/musician Giulio Villano. Two at a time, strangers were asked to sit down under a tent of light, asking each other very intimate questions via two computers connected through an internal chat. The conversation was projected in real time on a screen in front of them for the public to see and be instantly involved in the performance, bonding over the rise of intimate debates in a social context. Inspired by the experiment of the “36 questions to fall in love” developed by psychologist Arthur Aron in 1997, the installation investigates the way people could establish a connection when put in a position of fictitious intimacy with a stranger, analysing how we build self-awareness through the relationship with others and how much we can get to know about ourselves only when we question ourselves through the lens of someone else’s eyes. The questionnaire looks into the ways we cope with pain, sexuality and family bonds, and retrospectively reveals itself as a sort of omen to the implications of 2020

It's been a difficult year. We want to be realistic, but grateful at the same time. In short, we want to sum up this bittersweet 2020.

We bet on our desire to socialize, we had fun but with the due responsibilities of the case. Never would we have thought to end up creating such an engaging and perhaps a bit utopian project.

We discovered and created e-clubbing with you, we jumped on sofas, drank on terraces and danced in other people’s houses without ever moving from ours.
We brought together people from all over the world behind screens, united by their mutual love for music and art.

Sometimes averse situations create new opportunities and, in an effort to entertain you, we all got to know each other, made new friends, created a family and never could we have imagined such warmth in such an unstable and difficult time.

We want to thank you: we are eternally grateful for the desire everyone has shown to remain hopeful and believe that 2020 was just the beginning of this fantastic project. Let's hope together that it will continue to be like this.

Thanks to all the people who were more or less directly part of our team, to the hundreds+ artists who collaborated with us and most importantly to every single person who got to virtually hang out with us for making this magic happen!
