Hi! I’m Jesenia and I’m one half of Dulce Events by J&J. I’ve been in event planning since 2015, which began with small corporate and social events to 500 plus people events. I enjoy the planning process and therefore teamed up with a longtime friend with the same passions and even more creativity to create our business. Rain in the forecast on your wedding day? There are a lot of meanings behind rain on your big day, and they all come down to a lasting marriage! 💕 Don't let it put a negative tone on your special day, just PREPARE!
Weather is always unpredictable so it's always best to be prepared.
Here are a list of some things you can do help prepare for any unfortunate weather.
☁️ Call your venue and ask about plan B and C.
☁️ Purchase umbrellas for you and your bridal party. It allows you to still take some pictures outside and can add an adorable touch!
☁️ Rent heat lamps if you're having an outside event and the temperature is chilly.
☁️ Have a coffee/hot chocolate bar to help keep your guests warm ( maybe with a hint of something stronger 😉) .
☁️ Hand out Pashmina shawls as wedding favors ( something that Is useful and your guests will be thanking you on a cold day).
Center pieces are often used as one of the main focal points of your wedding. Brides base decisions on other aspects of their wedding to create the mood and cohesiveness that they want. Whether you choose to do something grand or simplistic, be sure to maintain the unified theme throughout your wedding.
We recently attended a wedding where we experienced a bi-lingual ceremony. This is such a great idea for mixed families with different languages. It makes everyone feel included and understand what is being said. The groomsmen and bridesmaids also presented their speeches in both languages as they shared memories!
Whether it’s your pastor, family or friends it’s a beautiful opportunity to embrace all cultures and traditions!
Weddings are a billion dollar industry, so many couples do their best to save on certain costs. We found some easy ways that can help!
🌹 Repurpose your bouquet by breaking them down and using them as centerpieces. This can avoid you misplacing them and save some money on having to buy extra flowers for your tables.
🌹 Social media groups are a great place to find gently used wedding decor. Join Facebook groups in your area that can help you find or buy decor that would cost more if you had to buy all the materials and put together yourself. A time saver too! This is also a great way to find inspiration from other weddings.
