Upon submitting a complaint to Consumer and worker protection about Characters for Hire Violating the Freelance isnt free act, it shows that Characters for Hire failed to provide any evidence to back up the claim.
They know what theyre doing is wrong.

This is an email that Characters for Hire has sent out years ago.
1)another excuse to delay checks
2) they're threatening to with hold your pay if you left a negative comment anywhere on social media? THAT IS ILLEGAL
3) most folks did not sign a contract but they're making it seem like everyone did.
4) First they say their account is on hold, then say as soon as you respond to this email they'll mail you a check.

THIS BEHAVIOR IS NOT OKAY.
This company is SO sensitive to negative comments that they would do ANYTHING to hide what people have to say.

It is NOT ILLEGAL TO SPEAK UP ABOUT WHAT ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES A COMPANY IS DOING.
THEY CANNOT SILENCE YOU

Talk about defamation!
Whenever characters for hire doesn't like somebody who spoke up about their company, they THEMSELVES go out of their way to defame artists who worked for them. Even if it means creating fake accounts.
Thats pretty messed up.
Calling people scam artists is uncalled for! Leaving negative reviews on other artists pages is very petty, and they can get sued for defamation as well!
Yet they are quick to yell "defamation!" When someone speaks up about the alarming business practices this company does.
This is CHILDISH and UNPROFESSIONAL behavior.

An email I recieved from this collection agency, and apparently I'm not the only one complaining about them. This collection agency is dealing with others who complained to them.
Characters for hire still refuses to pay.

Characters for hire publicly lies claiming they sent refund when they never did. If they refunded her, she would have removed her review. The fact that she is still waiting for 8 months for a refund, and she's constantly ignored....

Update:
sent a collection agency against characters for hire, because they continue ignoring her. They filled out an Inquest to vacate the judgement. They continue threatening with a (non existant) lawyer. By the time trial came, they didn't show up. Again.
This is called BAILJUMPING, and its considered a criminal offense. They're wasting her time and the courts time.
They have zero intention to pay what beatrice is owed for multiple services performed in 2020. They also put her life at risk so they can make money. Which she never recieved.
