Oh how I love a shimmer wall 😍 but definitely not my fav to assemble, especially when your time for install is limited! Here’s a little tip I have for my fellow event stylists and balloon artists PREP your wall prior to the event (at least I do). Prepping the wall saves you so much time during setup. I put 12 panels together to create 4 individual rows of the wall. I carefully (and I do mean carefully or you will lose some pieces) fold the rows in half and lay panels down on top of cardboard so they won’t snag on anything during transport. During setup I secure the first row to the cross bar and then proceed with the remaining 3 rows. Another tip don’t put the wall together while your tired and sick, I notice I had some panels turned wrong so I had to take some panels apart during install to correct the direction of the panel, which took some time 😅 but I finished on time and it turned out beautiful! I also put my own little twist on the mini balloon garland or balloon rope trend. I gradually change the balloon sizes in the rope. I thought it added some dimension to the garland and turned out cute to me! Quality balloons cost! And yes there is a such thing as balloon cost inflation! No we don’t use balloons from Dollar Tree, Party City, or Amazon. You want luxury you pay for luxury! You want mediocre you pay for mediocre and we don’t do mediocre! My client knew her vision and hired me with only a 4 day notice to execute her vision. When you book an event with less than a 30-day notice it requires expedited planning, ordering, design and print services. So plan to pay rush fees associated with expedited services.
